Hello everyone! First time posting here. Soo... I'm 33 years old, just lost cca 30kg with a help from an ebike and now I want to buy a new SL e-MTB for me and my wife. I still have 105kg's at 177cm, dont worry :D. Currently we have Scott Patron 920 - full power e-MTB but as I want to do more and Patron is kinda heavy for both of us, we were looking at Spec turbo levo SL pro 2024 or Orbea Rise SL M10. We are not doing hardcore trails just more or less crosscountry stuff, max 50-60km's. We tested turbo levo SL last week and had a blast. Really cool bike, a lot lighter than Patron and of course more silent. But I'm kinda worry about battery and range since I'm not lightweight myself. That is why I'm considering Orbea SL M10 with 630wh battery. We tried Orbea LT only but I dont know... Specialized was more fun to ride on, better spec and better on board computer. What do you guys think? Thank you very much!

On paper, the Orbea Rise has the Levo SL beat in terms of power, range and better bang for your buck. With that said, I’ve never ridden one before. I do ride the big bro to the Levo SL and can’t say enough positive comments about that bike. You could always acquire the extender that would boost the range of the Levo SL but as a heavier rider, you would still be better off going with the Rise. I can’t recall if a RE is compatible with the current Rise but assuming that it is that would be the proverbial icing on the cake. We don’t have as extensive a dealer network here in Canada for Orbea compared to Spec bikes so that would be my concern if I was in the market. So in my case, it would be the Levo.

@bomez: Indeed, you can buy a Specialized SL Range Extender, the SL Cable (MTB) and maybe the SL Y-Cable (for parallel charging of the main and RE batteries).
I use either 30/100% assistance (a flexible setting, giving a reward for harder or faster pedalling) or 55/55% assistance for steady rides on my Vado SL. In either case, the range (on the flat) with a Range Extender is over 100 km, and I weigh around 100 kg.

New Levo SL have a new, stronger SL1.2 motor; this motor is 1.5x more powerful than my SL1.1 one. Meaning, you can/should further decrease the assistance (using the Specialized App) to get the same range as I do. Moreover, the Levo SL has the Mastermind display, which allows you controlling the remaining Range as you are riding. Eventually, the Mastermind offers so-called "Microtuning". When you are on the ride and see you might not make the trip still on the battery, you can reduce the assistance while riding!

I would greatly recommend the Levo SL 2024. The best e-bike electronics in the market and the best warranty!
