Came across this article. Brooks follows Canyon, Rose Bikes, Dutch Bikes & Bits and other bicycle retailers & part manufacturers and ceases sales at-least temporarily to all of the UK due to Brexit. What makes this even more noteworthy is ofcourse the fact brooks being a quintessential British brand for over a century. This definitely has got to sting many cyclists and e-cyclists over there. Final assembly of brooks saddles are in Italy hence the effect from Brexit.

^Perhaps that’s why Boris’ father is leaving the country. There will be many (relatively) small business’ that suffer from this ill advised action...Brexit is part and parcel of the same actions, and the same bad actors who disrupted the US 2016 election.
World trade is a complicated thing...originally when I read the article yesterday (poorly) I assumed Brooks was impacted in exporting their fine saddles to Europe...now I see there’s more to it.

Brooks England, which has been making bicycle saddles at its factory in Smethwick, West Midlands for almost 140 years, has stopped sales to customers in the UK because of Brexit. The suspension of sales applies to order's made through the brand's website, with the company's UK distributor confirming on Monday that it does not affect products sold through premium dealers here.”

As we reported yesterday, Netherlands-based online bicycle parts retailer Dutch Bike Bits has announced that the UK has become the only country in the world to which it will not ship goods.

There are those who like to make their own decisions and those, like you, who like to be told what to do.

All those premium retailers are sold out of brooks saddles.

We all technically have an 'overlord' that is a bit omnipotent and wags their finger at us...this is nothing new to civilization and not much to do with politics.

Yep updated their website shipping page, https://www.dutchbikebits.com/shipping

This is going to be sorted out in due course, it’s just silly for Pashley who manufacture bicycles in the West Midlands to have to find another source of saddles when Brooks are made in the same part of the West Midlands...

Hey gang, I am very weak on understanding Brexit so here goes...is Brooks NOT selling to bike manufacturers in the UK due to Brexit regulations? is Brooks selling to individuals in the UK if purchases are through their website? Any other weirdness that stands out in this? Not connected to Brexit (obviously) but I just broke the tensioning bolt on my new Flyer after only 6400 km. My B-17 has right at 73000 km and still seems fine. Is this a random thing or has the bolt composition recently changed? Harder and more brittle or softer? Thanks, Alvin

What's been most illuminating about Brexit was how many things turned out to be complete and utter lies....

Even the "Remainers" in this country have virtually disappeared.... It's not a good look right now in light of EU issues.

Strange how the tables can turn.

We have the same thing in the U.S. People not only misrepresent their own agendas but are quite willing to misrepresent their opponents agendas and views. Very disheartening on occasion. At least it all goes away for a few hours when out pedaling about.
