Broken Bosch Nyon Display Frame

I was riding my Gazelle Arroyo today and hit a minor bump in the pavement. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something fall off the handle bar, and heard it hit the front wheel spokes. I was only going about 8 MPH, so I immediately stopped and looked back and found the broken display frame from my Nyon. A small piece of the frame was missing from the upper left corner, probably from where it bounced off the spokes. I have no idea what made it pop off as the bump was not that hard and I have never dropped or bumped my nyon display, so I don't think the frame was cracked or damaged before it came off. I was able to tape it back on with electrical tape, but I don't know how long that will hold.

I am hoping I can find a replacement frame, but so far all I find are European sellers, and the price for shipping to US is ridiculous ($22 for item plus $20 for shipping). For that price, I figure I may as well buy a whole new Nyon on eBay for about $87. If anyone knows where I can find this part in the US for a reasonable price, please let me know.

Here is a picture of the part, with the location of the missing piece circled.

Same thing happened to me last summer. I posted about it, but as I recall, I was informed that this generally doesn’t happen or some such. Since the mask is a replacement part at many European suppliers, I suspect it’s more common than people think.

I would be interested to know how many miles you put on this nyon prior to the mask popping off?

I opted for another unit from eBay. I have one with the mask and a functioning backup that’s cosmetically less than perfect. Note that I used it for another couple of hundred miles maskless w/o issue.

Since the nyon is not supported in the US, I did not find any replacement masks in the US. If another one pops off, I’m thinking 3D printer.

I have only ridden about 200 miles since I swapped the Intuvia for the Nyon. Almost all of my riding is on paved trails, so the Nyon has had very little bouncing around and is otherwise still in like-new condition. I don't know if the frame fell off because it broke first, or if the plastic tabs just did not secure it well enough, and it popped off from going over the bump in the trail and broke when it hit the spokes or pavement. I suspect the latter, but have no way to know for sure.

How annoying. I suspect the latter as well. I heard mine hit the ground but assumed I had run over debris on the shoulder I was on. It was only later I noticed the missing mask.

I still keep looking for a (reasonably priced w/ shipping) replacement for the Nyon design mask. They are available in the Europe market, but they charge a ridiculous fee to ship this small lightweight piece to the US...very frustrating! I am sure the availability in the US would improve if Bosch simply allowed Nyon support here. I don't understand why they don't support the Nyon in the NA market.
