Have you ever experienced brake fade?
I have on my motorcycle, and it was pretty damn scary because it felt like somebody sprayed WD40 on the rotor.
The bike had organic pads, which is quieter but not as heat resistant.
I switched to sintered pad, no heat problem after that.
For ebikes, I actually tested one of Shimano resin pads (which isn't that heat resistant, obviously) , I purposely went a looong downhill and applied brake all the way, while pedaling to heat the brake up even more.
In the end, after several attempts, I didn't have a problem of brake fade.
So my guess is that ebikes do not typically have heat fade issues. It never got slippery. But that's only my experience.
So I went ahead and bought a bulk of Shimano resin pads on AliExpress.
One irony I found on your link though, they're using organic pads (least heat resistant pads) to cool down with that big fins. If heat was their concern, why not use sintered pads?
