Hello dear tuning friends,
Today we have positive news for all Bosch e-bike owners! The extremely popular tuning chip " SpeedBox 2 for Bosch " is now also compatible with the new Bosch models from 2020. ( Active / Active Plus / Performance / Performance CX 2020)

So it can still be diligently tuned If you have any questions, just contact our support!

UPDATE (11/12/2019):
Today we were informed by the manufacturer that the current chips are not yet 100% compatible with the new Bosch motors. For this reason, we currently have to advise against tuning the new Bosch 2020 motors. We always keep you up to date and of course inform you immediately as soon as a reliable tuning chip is available.

UPDATE (12/13/2019):
The manufacturer has now started the advance sale of the SpeedBox 3.0. The new version of the popular SpeedBox should again be compatible with the new Bosch 2020 Ebike motors. First deliveries are planned for early January! During the pre-sale phase there is a whopping € 30 discount.

Bear in mind that Bosch will BRICK the motor after the 3rd diagnostic firmware visit to your reputable Bosch dealer. The firmware picks that up and will ultimately render the motor inoperable/useless. Not sure if the etuning company mentions that on their website as a caution.

I know the motor since before 2020 models can store information such as "Tuning Detected Yes/No" and "No. of incidents detected" and that the 2020 motors can actually populate those information fields but is that how Bosch is implementing their anti-tuning measures, when hooked up to their service portal, or a guess?

Good question. I do not know the answer, however, perhaps someone with experience using their diagnostic tools could chime in to give more specifics with this issue.

The motor doesn’t need to be connected to the diagnostics software in order for the motor performance to be impacted. New motors will potentially go into limp mode and older motors will just be flagged for any warranty claims.

So you're saying Don't do it or you'll have troubles?

Has anybody ridden e-bike with Bosch Performance Line CX gen 4 (2020) engine using SpeedBox 3 over ca. 1000 km without problem?
