My wife recently bought a Cannondale Neo X2 which has the Bosch Intuvia 100 controller. Overall the bike is great BUT she has a few things with the controller which I haven't seen discussed here (after a search).
The first is that the "pin" which confirms the controller unit is seated on the mount doesn't engage properly. The shop we bought from is aware of this and the mounting plate came with, at least, one layer of electrical tape to add pressure to the "pin". Surely this is wrong. It worries me that, with time, the tape may tear or compress and the pressure reduces effectively stopping the mount being effective.
Will this be an issue?
The second thing is my wife now has three, yes three, apps on her phone for the bike. Cannondale's own app, the Intuvia app and the eBike Flow app (Flow). The Cannondale app is not needed for day to day riding but does allow records to be kept for quick reference.
As far as I can make out the Intuvia app only updates the software on the head unit but it tries to do an update even when the software is up to date. Does the Flow app also do this?
My understanding was that the Flow up should automatically open/start when the bike is turned on and tries to connect to my wife's phone. Today it didn't. The head unit remained locked meaning that the bike could not be ridden with motor support (the e-lock setting is engaged for security purposes). I had forgotten about the Flow app (it's been a while since the bike has been ridden) so I spent ages messing about trying to get the head unit to unlock. Only after a couple of web searches did I remember the Flow app and once opened the bike immediately unlocked and could be ridden.
Should the Flow app automatically engage with the bike or does my wife have to open it every time?
Does she need both the Intuvia and Flow apps?
