We are looking around for a bike rack and bag so my wife can transport our little dog (3-4 lbs). She has a Como and I was thinking of a hard metal rack that we can strap a dog bag/box) thing to. I saw several on Amazon, but some don't look like they attach the best so I figured a metal rack under them would help a ton. Does anyone have any suggestions or real-world testing/usage they could share? THANKS!!!

Look at Amazon, front baskets, there is lots of choices, the one item I would do is get a proper fitting harness that can be snapped/secured to the basket/rack for your buddies safety, leave just enough slack to allow the critter to stand up, but can't jump out.
When biking with the dog, it is important that your dog knows some verbal cues and commands. Simple cues like slow, fast, stop, away, and close can go a long way. It will help you communicate better with your pet, especially when riding a bike with a dog on a leash. Be consistent with your tone, facial expression, and sound level while giving a command. Reward your pet for every positive response.

I just added a “pizza rack”. I had a pal run his dog leashed with him on a bike. After 6-7 years trouble free the lab made a wrong move. Concussion, stitches, and $25,000 in dental work.,
