Well as I was clearing out my workshop/shed I found a few old locks so for now I guess I am good on the locks Found a brinks 5/8 cable lock, Krytonite Keeper U lock, and a disc lock. When I gave my son in law my 700c I guess I kept the locks?

I use a New York Fahgettaboutit. But there are more factors than which lock. I use a cable when parking in a safe place to stop the odd grab and run. New York Fahgettaboudit when parking in a somewhat riskier spot where a grinder would draw attention.

Sadly there are dozens of videos and instructions on which tools and techniques to use to pick locks on these top notch locks.

I like the abus bordo line of locks, mostly because they fold up so nicely. Not the most secure, but convenient for quick stops. I prefer to pay a little less on the lock, and little more for great theft insurance.
