Screen Shot 2017-04-14 at 11.53.05 AM.png After reading about a number of fires, and having more than a few packs around I decided to order a flammables cabinet for my battery storage. A small cabinet, 12 gallon sized was showing up for around $405 delivered. Home Depot had to for $338 plus state tax. Looking even harder I found it on Zoro.com for the same $338 delivered with no tax, BUT a coupon search brought up a 20% coupon! SO the same cabinet sold most places for $405 delivered will be landed at my front door for $270!!!!

NOW I feel I'll be much safer. The cabinet will still allow smoke and smoke damage but controlled amounts and at least, with careful placement I won't burn the house down. $270 for lifetime insurance is a good deal from my perspective.

Higher priced versions had self closers and handles for the door, but the basic cabinets are essentially the same. I'll use carabiner rather than a padlock, to secure the door.

EDIT I realized I could have an upgraded cabinet for $327 delivered next week rather than wait. It was a bit heavier and with a more convenient handle. The 20% off still applied, so the upgrade was still well under anyone less price at $327! Zoro #: G7458744| Mfr #: 42X503
