Battery charger

Hi, I have 2 36v batteries the chargers both show 41.7 when multimeter attached to chargers only, would this be correct? as that is the voltage the batteries show when fully charged never 42v.
Many thanks
Brian

What's the name plate data on the charger; input and output voltage? My Yamaha charger data reads that it outputs 41.6 volts at 4 amps and for these 36 volt Yamaha batteries, that seems to be working as designed.

To know exactly what the full charge voltage should be you'd have to reference the cell manufacturer data sheet and also know how the BMS if you have one is implemented. Many times numbers are rounded up/down for ease of understanding of the end user.
If you have a major brand bike/ charger I'd guess it's properly designed.
