Anyone tried the new Bafang G520? In their website it claims that its max torque is 90 nm which is way higher than top of the line Bosch CX motor. They're both rated at 250 w so I wonder if those claims are true.

Motor spec is just half of the story. The other significant half is how is it managed by the controller and ultimately, how does it ride. The spec says 95 NM max torque. If it is a 250 watt motor, then that 95 NM is only found at 26 rpm cadence or less. By the time your cadence is at 80 rpm, your motor torque will only be 30 NM (250 watts).

However, those rated specs do not always tell the real story since the peak numbers are often not disclosed. So a back to back ebike ride comparison will give us a better idea on how the 2 will compare.

So yes, those who tried them, please, tell us your experience and comparison.
