Latest Bafang news letter.
Looking to me like we're gonna be screwed again and left out in the cold for repair parts for the BBSxx series. None of which are in the catalogue! M215 and M315 are listed but 500W maximum.

Then is the implication that people will need to replace their otherwise serviceable motors with something else? That is kind of effed. Will third parties make replacement parts to fill the demand. That is an interesting set-up. Does the arm float for rear suspension applications? The specifications are following the Eruo trend for mid-drives and away from the Hee-Haw crowd. Liability avoidance? Are there shiftable gears inside the motor housing?

old news. these have been on their website for about a year, and NOWHERE does it say parts will end. Gotta stop your weird vendetta tom, technology changes and moves forward, save your parts outrage for bosch, brose and yammy users, at least we can access bafang bits.

That's not exactly how it plays out, for me. I have a BBS02, a year old. I paid $500 all in and put it on a $400 bike. I scrounge my batteries or build them so I can come out at $1000 for the ebike, total. Hell of an ebike for that price. Not now. I'm just dead in the water on a new version because with THEIR battery it is more like $1200 and the bike. Plus I can't test batteries with the lock down, and I've tested 8 different packs this year. The more I use it the more I figure it really needs something like the Rohloff, but that's just nuts. Maybe it was too sweet a deal, selling it for $500 to people who needed the raw power. There isn't much competition. With hubs there is a lot of competion. Bah-Bye, Bafang. Bafang has gone from 8Fun to NoFun.
