Triumph motorcycles enters e-bike market with Trekker GT

HINKLEY, United Kingdom - British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, is going back to its bicycle origins and entering the e-bike market with the 'Trekker GT'. With a 118-year company history, this marks the first e-bike launch for Triumph, who manufactures 65,000 motorcycles annually.

It'd be more interesting if these motorcycle companies actually followed through and had real ebikes out in the market, rather than just announcements with prototypes to get some free PR.(cough, cough, Harley Davidson, cough)

At least a nice looking e-bike, although I wonder why the motor companies so often choose weird or older motors. Cannot understand the author's comment on the bike weight: 24 kg is perfectly normal for a full-sized e-bike.
