Amazingly bright future for ev' s(vid. with E.Musk - future of ev battery tech. )

Most outstanding is the fact that he mentions about the cost per cell @ $.55 which would bring 1kwh at a cost of 10$ ,that is mind blowing and completly obliterates all other companies that are making ev batteries . The 4860 will probably appear in ebikes in 2023 ? Too bad that there is no Tesla ebike yet !

Disclsoure- i am invested in Tsla.

Video from European Battery Conference on now (24Nov20).

Spoiler alert: pay atention to the dog kick @8.04😉

@Ravi Kempaiah , knowing that you are also a battery nerd and more knowledgeable then most of us here on ebr , what do you make of Tesla Boss vision and plans ?

Thanks for linking this video!
55 cents per cell would mean, it would take at least 75 cells to get to 1 kWhr and that would equate to $55 / kWhr.
If Tesla executes on all the technological challenges, then can get the cost down to that level in 2030 but they will hit less than $100/ kWhr by 2022. That in itself has enormous implications for EVs.

Excellent news... more production is planned to meet the increasing demand forecast. ;)

Tesla’s first full battery cell factory will produce up to 250 GWh — roughly the current world capacity (electrek.co)

Tesla’s first full-scale battery cell factory, which is located at Tesla Gigafactory Berlin, will produce up to 250 GWh, according to new comments from Elon Musk.
That’s roughly the current world battery cell production capacity. The CEO said about the new battery factory:

I think it will possibly be the largest battery cell plant in the world. I think it will be the largest. It will be capable of over 100 GWh per year and possibly over time, it will be going over 200 to 250 GWh. I’m pretty confident that at that point, it will be the largest battery cell plant in the world.
Bloomberg estimates that 250 GWh is just under the current world production capacity for li-ion battery cells — though that could more than double by the time Tesla reaches that kind of capacity at Gigafactory Berlin:
