Alternate display for Nomad 1

My wife's Nomad 1 display got destroyed in an act of vandalism by some <upstanding member of society> recently and we need to get a replacement. We haven't contacted Velotric yet because she would like to see if there's a compatible third-party display that would fit the bike that has a battery percentage instead of the frankly awful five-bar battery level indicator.

Does anyone know if this would even be a thing, or are we locked into getting a replacement of the sub-par display from Velotric?

I'm actually interested to see if you get a response here. I'm interested in changing my display for the Discover 1. My husband changed his out easily and gained functions on his KBO, but we have odd YLS wires on the Velotrics instead of julet and such, which I think.make it more challenging. Grrrr. Otherwise love the bike.

I got nothing, sadly. My wife just got a replacement crappy OEM one so she can ride her bike. The search continues.
