Advice on what I have just bought ....

Hi from Ireland , I have just joined the forum , might not even be the right forum but I am guessing that there is some help out there ....
Just sold my 1000w lead acid scooter , and while I was researching building a electric bike I came across somebody’s project for sale - another scooter - 1800w (48v controller ) and a li ion battery pack of 2x20 ah (160 x 18650) BMS ....but no charger ...
I switched out the battery for a lead acid and it works grand - needs a bit of tidying , but I am now waiting on a charger from Ali express 54.6v 5a can anybody first tell me if this is the correct charger ? And secondly which wires would be (or how to figure out ) the ones to add a ignition switch to - as currently it is wired to go as soon as you twist the handle -
Thank you in advance for any assistance -

I’m confused, you want to know if an 18650 54.6v 5A Charger from Aliexpress is correct? If you have a 48v 18650 pack, 13 cells in series, 54.6 is correct. Most BMS will allow a 5A charge rate. Often “ignition “ wires are a smaller gauge red wire from the controller.

Thanks for the reply Thomas,
I know it’s a bit confusing as I don’t really know what I have ( that’s what happens when you buy somebody else’s project ) and described it as best i could , the battery pack is 2 layers with what I guess is 80 individual cells in each layer a BMS all shrink wrapped in blue plastic with a male and female xt60 connectors - the charger I purchased has the same connector but I am also not certain where I connect it to now ???
As mentioned lots of cables from the controller unused and no key / ignition switch fitted as yet - how would I go about testing the cables to see which will kill the circuit when key will be turned ...
thanks again
