I had a problem finding a good water bottle mount for the RadRover that I got just about two months ago.
The first attempt, I mounted an aluminum cage to the side mounts near the headset. I had to enlarge the mounting holes with a file but it mounted fine with a couple of washers for spacing to not pinch the cable.
The problem came the first time I stood up to pedal, I hit it with my knees. This might not be a problem for others, but I have long legs.
The next attempt, I bought a few different products. I wanted to be able to reach the water bottle easily without stopping. These two purchases from Amazon seemed to solve all my problems.

I used the Topeak mount on the handlebar and pointed it forward toward the front of the bike. A better bottle cage was also needed due to the sideway lean of the mount when on the handlebar. Overall, this has worked well. It's a solid mount that doesn't move. I can also reach it easily while riding.
This might not work for everyone as all are needs are different. Just sharing what worked for me.
Here's a pic of what I've described.
