A Quality Hub motor can last ~100.000km

This is from one of my 2 Ebikes( have to do the soldering on the green wire for the motor cable and that's how i got to open the Pandora box) .
This motor and the plastic gears have 17.000miles on them already , hard miles i should say, as in 28-32mph speeds with a 52t front ring and in 13/12/11 rear cogs most of the time , in the Northeast rain , smtms. , many deep 15inch /35cm Ny/Nj potholes ....yea great hub motors are immensely superior to middrives .

This one was made by Dapu(Japan), there are 2-3 other companies currently that make good or great hub motors.

I've got 6K miles on my Dapu rear hub already. It's a comfort to know it should be good for a few more!

Is Dapu Japanese?
As far as I know, Dapu is virtually non existent in Japan.

Looks like they're located in China.

From what i knew they had a connection, either the parts were made there and assembled in China .

If the plastic gears were replaceable the hub motors could do 1million miles ! But there is ZERO wear&tear on mine's and i assume is the same for the others as well ?
