I have a 750XPS, 3 speed, and the chain seems to be skipping when I try to peddle up inclines. Seems to be about 1 1/4- 1 1/2” of play in the chain. Does anyone know if this is adjustable without removing a chain link?
Bikes with internally geared hubs usually have some sort of mechanism built in to change the distance from hub to chainring, thus adjusting tension. I do not know how it is set up for your particular bike, but usually you need to open the axle nuts and then there are screws to turn to move the axle, in your case away from the cranks. When you're done, don't forget to tighten the axle nuts again!
Google it and you will find some videos. One of them should have a mechanism that matches your bike.
