What are the Bosch announcements?
I have an opposite feeling about this - I would prefer last version of old-gen over the first generation of next-gen any day. It will take time until the next-gen Bosch ecosystem is stabilized and bugs are addressed and I don't want to be a beta-tester of the new platform buying first version on next-gen bike. New Bosch system is very software-depending and taking into account questionable expertise of Bosch in the software industry, they will need to do a huge jump and go to next level to keep the things working for the clients. It may take some time. So I would prefer my 2021 C380+ and ride it few years until 2023-2024 models are available with the much more mature platform. This new smart system, on the horizon, is the reason that I held off on getting a Gazelle this year.
I have to agree with this. Bosch is not Apple when it comes to software integrations. Even Bosch’s current line up needed a lot of work when it came out and it still does. On some level I understand if the hardware needed an upgrade but I could totally see them needing to upgrade the hardware again in the very near future to address the weight gain and awkward sizing of the new tube as well. The third party app integrations wont be available for awhile if at all. Too many downsides for me to get overly excited atm.I have an opposite feeling about this - I would prefer last version of old-gen over the first generation of next-gen any day. Still with Purion display, so not on the new Bosch platform. Not very interesting imo.Gazelle have introduced a Medeo T9 “City” model for 2022 with the motor downgraded from Bosch Active Line Plus to Active Line.
I think the goal is to be accessible. Get people to purchase then upgrade them to something nicer in two years when the newer platforms have had time to mature.Still with Purion display, so not on the new Bosch platform. Not very interesting imo.
