When my new Vado SL 5.0 arrives (if ever  ), I'll be transferring the seat and pedals from my 2020 Vado 4.0 to the new bike and then selling the old one. The problem is that when I looked in my bike parts bin the other day, I actually have three seats in there that say "Specialized" on them and I'm not sure which one was originally on the Vado. The same goes for the pedals, although flat pedals are mostly interchangeable.

So if anyone here has not swapped their seat and/or pedals, would you please snap a couple photos and post them there so that I can see which ones I should reinstall? Thanks!

Saddle:

Don't care about pedals.

Good luck - why did you decide to get a new bike?

In a word: weight. The regular Vado is a bit above what I can safely lift (for my back) and is difficult to put onto a carrier, a workstand, etc. I have also been in riding situations where I could really feel the weight being a detriment. So I hope to get back to something closer to my old Crosstrail analog bike. Also, the Vado is overpowered for my needs and I rarely have it out of Eco mode (which is also set to 15%) (no hills to speak of around here either).

Jokingly, I need to mention that:
  • Rochrunner is a lightweight person, so he would benefit from riding a lightweight e-bike a lot
  • He is fascinated with the modern technology applied to SL e-bikes ;)

Will do. They told me "end of March" in January when I put down a deposit and I haven't checked back since. I don't feel rushed since right now I'm dealing with a minor but inconvenient medical issue that is keeping me off the indoor bike setup as well as any outdoor rides when weather permits. This will hopefully have been dealt with by the time my bike comes in, but it might have to sit in my shop for a little while until I'm cleared to ride. :(
