2020 RAGBRAI cancelled!

Due to COVID-19, the 47th edition of the Iowa RAGBRAI ride has been postponed until 2021. It is another sad outcome of the awful situation we are in with the pandemic. RAGBRAI is keeping the same route for 2021 so at least the hosting communities who have been planning for the event have not wasted their efforts.

For the first time since its 1973 founding, RAGBRAI will not pedal across Iowa this summer. The planned route and host towns will carry over to 2021.

Very sad indeed... the ride across Iowa is a classic and will be missed this year.

Too bad, RAGBRAI has been a wonderful and important community and newspaper event for everyone involved, readers, fans and relatives, of those riders and hosts.

UPDATE..a recent news flash stated that RAGBRAI organizers are putting some kind of 3 day event around Iowa Falls, Iowa but I haven’t yet heard if it is for sure or any event details. All I’ve heard is it’s sometime in October.
