Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Estimate your typical maximum daily mileage. Figure out how many WH you will need. Buy something that has double that. Also LiFePo4 batteries have a 2000 cycle expectancy as opposed to regular Lithium Ions' 500 cycles. BUT they are less energy dense so you are carrying 20-30% more weight for...

anyone upgrade battery to 52 volt on 2018 rover?

I like that they unified the batteries into one platform across all model. I don't like that they went to a proprietary platform. Even though it looks like a "shark" battery from Luna.

Known Issues & Problems with Easy Motion Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I haven't had any error codes except when I leave my foot on the pedal when I turn it on and it give me 'FOOT' error at startup. On 2-3 occasions I felt power cutting out when I hit a major bumps. I'm not sure if that's really happening or if reading someone's post on here made me look for...

Known Issues & Problems with Easy Motion Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Sorry I didn't see this until just now. The motor was fixed as previously mentioned. When I contacted Crazy Lenny about the display, their tech staff was baffled and said I would have to bring it in for them to see what's going on. That's not happening since they're in Wisconsin and I'm in NYC...

    Accessories for the Fold

I was a little concerned but it appears it may be a one off issue. The seat tube was paper thin where it broke off. But other users took photos of their seat tube and it looked fine. Someone speculated that there may have been an air bubble when the aluminum was formed. That will be the first...

    Accessories for the Fold

Fenders and rear rack? Yes. But it's not official yet, so I can't comment on pricing. You're on your own for lights. Sondor represents a better value to me. Those other two are more expensive for a smaller sized battery. The only thing is long term reliability data is a big question mark. Will...

Anyone else excited about the Sondors Fold?

Ended up buying a Sondors Fold X 7. For the price $1123 (shipped), I couldn't really complain. To me the battery & motor alone are worth about $700. For this you get a 7 speed mini fat tire folder, 500W Bafang motor, 674Wh Panasonic cells, LCD, PAS/throttle, cable disc brakes. Hopefully their...

Anyone else excited about the Sondors Fold?

BTW I spoke to a rep from Sondors and all their European spec models are Torque Sensing but they don't have the throttle though (which I don't care about anyway). *Edit* conflicting info: I was told by others, that Sondors do not have a torque sensor on any of them. So it might be a just the...

Anyone else excited about the Sondors Fold?

I'm guessing the weight limit is rated to 225-250lbs but realistically 300lbs shouldn't be a problem. The hinge looks pretty substantial so I don't think it'll be an issue. As far as the way it'll look on you.. that's something you've gotta get over. Adults in general look funny riding small...

Anyone else excited about the Sondors Fold?

Yeah, it's a great deal for what you get. The 650WH battery and 500W motor alone are worth the price of admission. The folding part make these very desirable as commuters because many buses don't allow full bikes on. Other manufacturers of folding bikes have batteries that are half this size for...

Thanks Bob. I tried that on the computer but unfortunately the readings are still wrong. I will have to contact the seller or manufacturer about this. Not sure what the deal is.

    Flash bike?

Ravi is right. There is likely zero support once the bike is sold to you. You might have recourse through your credit card company for a very brief period but a warranty is useless unless someone actually supports it.

    BMW C Evolution electric scooter

The article says the 94Ah battery is taken from the i3 which currently 33kWh. That is HUGE! The i3 claims 114mile range. In motorcycle form this could be push close to 300 miles range. This is DOUBLE the battery of even the largest Zero motorcycle! If it does cost $20k and is actually 33kWh...

    Flash bike?

NOTE: I have no connection to the sellers or any skin in their game but I thought it was a pretty interesting design with a ton of novel techy features. I saw an ad in my Facebook about a month ago for this Flash bike (www.flashbike.io). Thought it was interesting. I received a "secret" link to...

Known Issues & Problems with Easy Motion Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Thanks Ravi. I did watch that beforehand and followed all the recommended steps. The rear wheel definitely did not come off with just a tug. It was unusually tight. I'm wondering now if there was some frame bending related to the flattened rear wheel.

Known Issues & Problems with Easy Motion Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

So BH shipped the wheel in directly to me this Tuesday (1 week from when I reported the problem to the dealer). Unfortunately, it was just the wheel, so I had to swap out the disc, tube, tire, liner, and cassette. I could do everything myself but the cassette. BTW the rear hub wheel is a f%$ing...

    Tesla Battery Cells 2170 - aka 21700

I hope it does come to fruition. I had a friend of mine look into his paper. He's has a PhD in material sciences working on his post doc research on batteries at Argonne national lab. He seemed a little hesitant to give it the thumbs up. Basically the gist is if it wasn't for Goodenough's name...

Known Issues & Problems with Easy Motion Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

The dealer got an email from BH saying that I'm getting a replacement wheel to swap in. Not sure if it will come directly to me or if there will go to the dealer first (they're 1000+ miles away). Hopefully they skipped the middle man. I haven't received any calls or emails directly from any BH...
