    Some Jams are Good

Well, it's Stevie Ray after all...I could have listened to him just tuning his guitar. Interesting story of note, had the pleasure of jamming with his brother one night in the late 80's. Good times. (and thanks for not posting yet another Angine de Poitrine video. not that I dislike them, but...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Indeed, horses for courses! We all have to find our way (no pun intended). What works for you, may not work for someone else and vice versa. All i can do is get as much info as possible and take it from there. That's great that you can transfer a route from Kamoot to the Ace. Thank you!

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

I'll definitely have to look into gate passes. This won't happen any time soon, but is something i am hoping to do eventually. Thank you for the info!

    Clean Custom Conversions

Very interesting, especially how you procured some bikes from a certain bike shop owner! You had started this thread right about the time i discovered the forum. I had signed up here in February but for whatever the reason was only approved a day or two ago. But yep, I would look forward to your...

    Just for fun...

the good news is, take a grinder to said pipes, turn the water back on, and problem solved! Of course then you'll have to solder the pipes again, this could become Sisyphean...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Thank you. It's what I named my bike. Being a black Vado, it just sort of fit. :)

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Your use case somewhat aligns with my intentions. Mapping, and elevation mainly. I have an Apple Watch that records heart rate. Turn by turn navigation would be a case-by-case basis. I don't need it for my 2.5 mile round trip to work and back, and my recreational rides (so far) are mainly local...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Interesting experiences, and helpful to know! Frankly, the last GPS I owned (not including smartphones) was a Garmin handheld way back in the 90's and early 00's. Used for hiking, geocaching and also had a mount for my bike. So in some ways, I think my brain is still wired to view it as "just a...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Thank you for the added input! I can definitely wait a few days if you wanted to post a few pictures. I have a "big" Vado, 5.0 so I don't have a need for any range extender details (oh how i wish we could use them though). Mainly it would just be used for navigation. Though nice, I'm not...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Thank you! And you being just down the 5 from me, knowing you have no issue with visibility is a big help! Still not sure which way i'm going, I was leaning towards the Ace, but currently Amazon has the Garmin 1050 on sale @599.

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

So the visibility is doable? That's really my main concern with the Ace, if the display washes out at high noon on a sunny summer day

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but any update on this? Did you get the Edge, and if so, how is the visibility. I'm debating between a Garmin 850/1050 or Wahoo Ace...

    Greetings

Oh...I used to live right near the top of the San Gabriel River trail, in Duarte. Back in the day, i'd ride my bike (pre e-bike) down to Long Beach maybe once a month! Going down to LB was great....coming back not so much.

Howdy all! long time listener, first time caller... It's good to finally be here after a looooong vetting process. I guess my background/credit check and security clearance came back clean, so I've been accepted into the EBR Forum fold. :) Anyways....hello from Southern California. Here's a...
