I have an annoying issue with the Photon Pro. There is a ticking noise coming from the motor when power is applied, ie. when I pedal with assist or when I use the throttle. It sounds like maybe a gear is damage or some dirt got in. Is this a common issue? How can I fix this?
I have the 27.5x2.25, they worked great. It's best on ice, thin snow, and packed snow. As long as the studs can make contact with a hard surface, the tires will grip. I feel super confident on my winter commute.
Does the Photon have enough clearance for 27.7x2.6 studded? I cannot find any studded tires at 27.5x2.4. So far just 2.25 and 2.6. i ride in Winnipeg and it's definitely icy here.
The suspension seatpost came standard with the Photon Pro. I think CVT works well for ebikes. I usually shift to a lighter "gear" when coming to a stop. Then shift to a level where I can maintain a certain cadence. Not many hills here, so I shift based on the wind.
147.9km with 5% left. Probably safe to say that it can go 150km per full charge. Probably not good for the battery to do this though. Assist level 1 most of the way.
