It took me a few tries to get the app and bike to pair. Make sure bluetooth is on and location services are on, also check the mission control app settings for the same. In the end I restarted my phone and they connected.

You should have no drag on the back wheel. This sounds like brake drag, this can be caused by decentring of the caliper and rotor, a stuck piston or expansion of the brake fluid. As it is a new bike I would get your LBS to check it out.

Just checked my Turbo Vado 5.0 (not SL) brake hose and it moves relatively freely backwards and forwards, I would be a little concerned if a hydraulic hose is pinched, maybe more Specialized sloppiness! Anyway I hope you get it sorted.

There is no reason to change the brakes, I would look for another LBS personally. Just found this, looks like an easy job for a competent LBS:-

Why can't your LBS run a new cable it's not a big job? Just checked with my LBS and he quoted 30 for replacing a Vado disc brake hose including brake bleed...

If you are not happy just hand the bike back and get a refund. Does the shorter cable cause any issues with riding / braking?

Agree, IGH is only valid for leisure / commuting, one of the reasons I did not go the IGH route as I have some mixed terrain I want to ride.

As others have said if it it feels good go for it. I presume you LBS has a 30 day return window in case you change your mind?

A colleague has just got the Vado 5.0 IGH and I warned him of problems mentioned in this forum. He has had the bike a couple of weeks and is blown away and would not go back to chain. He said there was a learning curve and getting the settings correct was critical. I have a feeling issues...

Nice write up. What other maintenance do you do? I presume the fork will need a service at some point? Are you on the original brake pads and chain?

When is delivery? You have two great bikes on the way and you will not be disappointed!

Thanks for the reply, I think I will leave it to the experts. Currently I have my wheels checked and trued by my LBS once a year, it only costs $15 per wheel so not bad.
