No idea - I didn’t ask any questions. I just paid the money to get the faster bike when I ordered it. i did the same again when I ordered the step through version for my wife.

The dealer ulocked it for a fee on purchase.

Yes the m620 does deliver at lower cadences because of its bulk torque. However this isn’t the first time I’ve heard posters on this forum being disappointed with the output of the m620, which has been due to their low cadences.

I have a SRAM NX (HG) 50-11 cassette on a 60V M620, with GX everything else which has been fault free so far (1800 klms).

Nowhere in your posts have you mentioned your actual cadence. And based on your experience with the m620 it sounds like you are not spinning the cranks fast enough, hence your disappointment with this motor. The m620 is the Ferrari of e-bike motors……it loves to rev. If you can do that the m620...

I also have a 500c display to suit a Bafang motor. The plug on the display for the Bafang is different to the plug on display for the Ananda in that the male/female connection is reversed. Presumably so you can’t plug a Bafang display into a Ananda motor and vice versa.

Yes you can see the percentage drop during the course of the ride. You can also see the battery sag when using higher levels of assistance and ride at the higher speeds. I took a ride today and the percentage reduced from 90% to 50% over the journey. Some of that was at 47 klms/h though...

FYI I have those displays on two e-bikes. The battery meter works perfectly with non Bafang 48v batteries that came with the bikes. I would email GBK and see if they can assist.

I had the same snagging issue. Instead I changed the saddles on both my e-bikes to Selle’s saddles with the Concorde (droop) noses so I didnt have to change my wardrobe 😜

Another option if you primarily ride asphalt/paved surfaces is the Schwalbe Supermoto (non X version). I’m approaching 2,000 klms on mine, commuting to work, and can’t fault them.

Where’s the fun in that 😜. Cycling in a gusty crosswind gets interesting. Constant winds not far from where I was born. Even motorcyclists struggle riding in the area.

Agreed, people complain of the noise of the Ultra and eMTB tyres. At my cruising speeds of circa 38 to 43 klms/hr (PAS level 1) I don’t hear a thing because of the wind noise. Only going through a bike path tunnel do I hear the tyres echoing off the walls. I don’t wear ear plugs though.

Yep, headwinds and hills are a thing of the past with the Ultra 🙏 Truth be told, the terrain and winds still affect the Ultra powered bike, but at a higher speeds.
