That is my thinking, normal use is all I have done. Now in discussions with Bosch E bikes Europe. Will let you know the outcome.

Hi Rob. Unfortunatley you cannot buy the bracket only the whole unit, this is not good when the whole world is talking about sustainabilty and the need to repair products not dispose of them. I have made this point to Bosch Ebike division in Europe. I await their comments. Thanks for the offer...

So if I read it right you two guys are suggesting that it is acceptable for a product that suffers from no stress in its working life to break after two years and that I should just suck up the £110 it will cost me to replace. I guess that in another two years I will have to replace it again...
