Thanks, I was able to confirm w/ Frey that all of their bikes (at the time of last check) were UART w/ the exception of their 60v 'Beast' bike.

FWIW, to close the loop, I went ahead and purchased the AM1000 w/ the 29er/27.5 mullet setup yesterday. Frey did (re)confirm that their AM1000 bikes are UART (it sounds like only the Beast is CANBUS).
