What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Yesterday on my 24 mile ride on a new trail that links 2 cities ( Eureka-Arcata ca) I encountered around 15 cyclists. Most were on analog bikes, and probably 6 on Ebikes. The only people that had a smile on there faces when I greeted them were the ones on Ebikes. Somes it up doesn't it.

    Shipping forward on my saddle

Looks pretty comfy. I've been using Brooks saddles since 1973. May its time to get one of them comfort seats. I pedal the whole time on my ebike on level 3. Usually around 13-14 mph. I've read where those comfort seats can make you sore after a few miles. They sure look comfortable though. I...

    Shipping forward on my saddle

Just got back from a 24 mile ride. Not sliding fwd as much, but I think I moved it a little to far fwd. Tilt, reach, and height are good. It was a great ride. Made it on one 4 year old battery. Lol. Had a spare one onboard. 1st time I've ridden the Eureka ca to Arcata ca trail. It just opened...

Old man, new bike, massive hills, lesson learned

I'm in California visiting family and I'm loving these flat roads where I can get over 30 miles on a charge. Big difference from my home AO of E.TN and nothing but hills and only getting 18 miles per charge on a 14 ah battery on pas lvl III. Hills make a huge difference. Glad I have at least...

    Named my ebike today

After getting real tired of emptying our 42 gal waste tote 340 lbs full at the campground every other day I decided to try an experiment. My back has fractures and hurts like Hell to pull this thing 60 yds to the dump station. So as they say necessity is the mother of invention. I attached the...

    Crash today on black ice

get well soon. i crashed on a morning commute in Honolulu back in 1987. Early morning with road slicks on my stump jumper. I was trying to negotiate a right turn on a greenlight making a big sweeper turn, and the bike went out from underneath me.(wet crosswalk paint) luckily there was very...
