    Amazing deals at Yamaha currently

And there it is - they're getting out of the US market https://electrek.co/2024/11/02/yamaha-throws-in-the-towel-pulls-out-of-e-bike-market-in-north-america/

    DJI Neo Drone

Something to consider. I live in an exception zone - close to a regional airport. Every time I wanna fly the DJI from here, I gotta ask permission. Sometimes I can get it done in a few minutes; sometimes I wind up not flying it takes so long. Play store software fiasco also cost me several...

DJI vs Bosch vs Pinion: Unbelievable Difference!!

I actually had a positive experience over several reps today and finally got the drone issue sorted (I think - haven't tried to fly but could finally install the app and it opened). Took them several hours, but they finally got me there. But - just the possibility of it happening again is a...

DJI vs Bosch vs Pinion: Unbelievable Difference!!

You can allegedly get it straight from DJI, but the download never works. Their software is a pain to use anyway - can take forever to get it to fly if you haven't flown in a while. Half the time I lose interest before it gets all caught up.

DJI vs Bosch vs Pinion: Unbelievable Difference!!

I looked around for solutions for a few hours on vacation & gave up. Still haven't been able to get it working again since I've been home. Probably need to open a support ticket, but snooze. Even if I can get it working again, I can't live with the idea that this could happen to my bike. I...

DJI vs Bosch vs Pinion: Unbelievable Difference!!

I'll be sitting out on the DJI stuff. My DJI drone no longer flies due to some software disagreement between Play store and DJI. App just shut down. No replacement. They lost my business forever with that move.

Tubeless or Mr Tuffy and sealant in tube for goatheads?

We have awful goat's heads here. I've tried it all. Stans / Orange Seal & tubeless for the win - hands down. I've had several tubeless tires leak through the sidewalls - never been an issue. Sealant in tubes does not work near as well as tubeless IME.

    Amazing deals at Yamaha currently

Curiously low prices. I don't see how they're making any money on these - especially considering the extra battery. These have nice parts on them too. I'm super temped to order one, but I have this sinking feeling there's a reason for the fire sale. Are the batteries suspect? I noticed you...

    Lower priced e bike

If you're just going to putz around the neighborhood a few times a year, sure, it'll probably be fine. I wouldn't rely on it to take me anywhere though. Definitely wouldn't count on it to get me back home. At the very least, I'd want to go through every part on it & make sure it's not going...

I never say where we're going. They don't usually realize where we are 'till there are all sorts of airplanes a few feet away. I live in the neighborhood - get a fair amount of F-15, 16 traffic at times - makes a helluva racket. Sometimes they park 'em up by the restaurant. I need to take...

Yep - my favorite restaurant in the metro. And it's easy bikeshot. It's just soooooooooo cool. And the food ain't bad either. I do happy hour up there with some pals now & again. Dinner when friends come in and wanna do something different. They're always blown away.

I'd get out there on a motard. It's at Centennial airport. I don't know when they whipped it back into shape, but it was looking rough not even a year ago - figured I'd never see it in action.

When was the last time You listened to a record album?

I still have a copy of this. Don't listen to it much, but it has seen a lot of use. It made the rounds in hi-fi circles. Not a vinyl person myself, but have heard a lot of nice setups. I wouldn't consider vinyl to superior in any way to a good digital setup, other than the nostalgia &...

Was riding around & heard what sounded like karts. There's this old track over by the airport that hasn't been used in forever - can't be that can it? Looks like it can - they re-opened the track!

How to Switch to Clipless Pedals

At the OP - not sure why you wanna try clipless, but IME there are only 2 things they do for you. They give you a little more power as you can pull as well as push, so you can squeeze a little more performance out of the bike. And they allow you to jump/bunnyhop more aggressively (although DJ...

How to Switch to Clipless Pedals

That's why I never use them anymore - kept falling in technical sections. Only way I'd consider them again is if I were racing, but those days are behind me. I went back to flats over a decade ago and never looked back.
