There is a guy on eBay who has 32 through 40 tooth bolt-on chainrings for the M620 spline: https://www.ebay.com/itm/134032797529? My main concern with going lower is the added torque on the larger rear gears -- the top 3 are reportedly weaker due to the relatively large weight reducing cutouts...

Dude sounds like a whiner. He does not own the "Rockstar vs XYZ" concept, nor does he have a lock on future comparisons... OTOH, I am 1000% certain there are other mid-drive, full-suspension bikes available that can outpace the Rockstar; a little lighter, a little faster and with better forks...

Anybody gone to a 38 or 40 tooth chainring on their Rockstar? I am thinking about the swap and wondering if it's even worth bothering. It's not so much I want or need lower final gearing, but feel that a bit tighter spacing in the top 4 gears would be welcome. I understand it drops my 11th to...

First, my local Dick's was not exactly like the one they picture on the website, it is not open yoked at the top though it does extend long. It appears to be the same one that is on Amazon for $13 but I cannot confirm that, and regardless I wanted it today and was already at Dick's, so I bought...

You don’t want to use both attachments on the Rockstar as that joint flexes as the rear suspension moves.

I avoid Dick’s for the exact same reason. But I haven’t found a long, sturdy bolt-on stand anywhere else.

Kickstand: I've broken two of the Amazon Tenfans kickstands, they simply arent strong enbough nor really long enough for the Rockstar. I made a repair on it that lengthened and strengthened it and it is now working fine, but it's butt ugly. I will head to Dick's this weekend and try that one. It...

I’d open it at that end and at least look. Could be nothing wrong at all inside.

A San Francisco Bay Area shop claims to have both yellow and black in stock -- but they are listing them at $3999 (!) PS: There is also a "new used" yellow one for sale in the Sacramento Craig's List for $3500.

I do think it's mainly an issue with their Rockstar. Most other models can be ordered from COSTCO even.

Sondors: Horrible CS, horrible website management and a general overall lack of decent information about their products, especially the Rockstar. But end of day, the Rockstar is still a pretty darn nice bike for the money. If you can get one.

You def want a shock pump to set rear and front pressure based on your weight. My tubes were also Schrader. Obviously you can replace the tubes to presta if you prefer them, either work fine.

How about pedals? I just swapped on some RockBros Advanced 4 pedals and really like them. Gave my bog-boy feet about ¼" extra width which was really welcome. Plus they have 4 bearings so run really smooth -- and they look pretty cool LOL!

Disc brake caliper adjusting tool --

I don't usually get overly excited about bike tools, but figured I'd share this one because it's a bargain. My Sondors Rockstar is my first bike with disc brakes. It didn't take long to learn about the importance and braking improvements from proper caliper adjustment/alignment to the disc. This...

Mike, I can add one helpful piece of advice -- get some Pedro's tire levers :D Again I used tubes, but was able to swap out both tires in about 5 minutes each. It took me almost as long to wrestle the rear wheel back onto the bike LOL!

Is 1000 miles a lot, or just a benchmark ;) —- I have around 800 on mine and still running great!

To be honest, I am having difficulty understanding Sondors business, marketing and production plan specifically for the Rockstar. It seems to me --and admittedly I do not know and this is just a guess-- that they may just wait until XX orders are received, then build that many bikes to fulfill...

I was tempted to try tubeless, but stayed with slimed tubes for the kind of riding I do.
