Display limits current below controller rating

I have substantial experience with KT controllers, and own, but have not installed a DC Moto controller that came with a kit I purchased in order to obtain the motor. What you are encountering seems very odd. All the controller / display sets I have purchased have an adjustable current...

    Greeting from a new member!

Wow - 3 chains in 5600 miles? I normally get that per chain (a few decades ago before I got back into bikes in 2020). I have been told that mid motor bikes can be hard on bicycle chains. Takes great advantage of the gearing, but that is a lot of wear and tear on the bicycle components.

Choosing my first ebike- buy or convert

Sorry, one last thing - I am 225 # 6'1". I took the Motobecane to New Orleans in early December, some of the roughest roads I have ever been hammered by, and put close to 150 miles on the bike that week. No problem with frame strength - held together fine, I have already put just shy of 1000...

    Cheers from the frozen north

I rarely go over 18-20 MPH either, only noted the above ability to exceed that level with the retrofit as it seems that the bike manufacturer's seem likely to adhere to the regulations, where the hardware manufacturers leave it up to you, as the builder, to comply. Madison Wisconsin. I...

Choosing my first ebike- buy or convert

I have both a factory bike (RAD) and a conversion. I truly enjoy both, but the conversion outperforms the factory bike and was built at a good price point. I based it on an old steel frame bike, as such, I had to do careful wire management since there is no good way to run wires within the...

    Cheers from the frozen north

Picked up bicycling and rebuilding old steel bikes as a "Covid Crazy" summer 2020. Mainly bikes from the early to mid 70's that I could have been riding back in high school. I put down a couple thousand miles between June and November when I was diagnosed with lung cancer (48 years of...
