Replaced My Stromer ST2 S with an ST7

Anyone that thinks the TRP front brake is not powerful enough are simply too afraid to grab at it. Them ST5 brakes will lock up or throw you over the bars at anytime if you don’t know how to lean back and modulate the HD944 pumps.

    Stromer regen braking?

Don’t forget that in recoup mode, you can pedal to recover even more energy.

    Stromer regen braking?

I would disagree. Have you used the recoup function extensively? Hold the minus button and trigger recoup mode. I have done +110 miles days on the ST5 using recoup. Coming down a 2600 feet mountain climb I can recoup a significant amount of energy. This is not regen braking you get when...

    Supernova on a ST3

The mounting rings of Roxim Z4E Pro on a ST3 looks exactly like that on a ST5 Supernova M99 Pro. Supernova made the M99 pro with a custom wire connector for the ST5. (Maybe that's the same connector on the ST3.) Ask them - [email protected]

    (2019)ST5 rear axle torque settings

@redshiftquasars If you don't mind sharing, what's your mileage and battery range now? All other variable aside. (Rider weight / rider style...etc) My 2019 ST5 now has about ~6000 miles and range about ~60 miles. I pretty much mostly been using mode 2 since new.

    New Stromer flagship ST7

The pinion cables? Would be a travesty if there was no electronic shifting. I would buy the R&M Rohloff e14 instead.

    New Stromer flagship ST7

Not sure how you are coming up with these averages… I’ve been commuting on my ST5 for over +5400 miles. My lifetime HR average with the ST5 is 120bpm. I record religiously. Average speed on my 7.5 miles each way commute is about to 17mph. I almost never use the small cog. My average max HR...

3G (GSM) technology in the USA is expected to be gradually discontinued starting January 2022.

Say, is there some activation that a Stromer dealer needs to do with the new LTE OMNI? Or will the new OMNI automagically knows the bike is mine? Looks like Stromer is shipping the new OMNI directly to me.

    Stromer ST2, R&M, specialized Como

This is very subjective.... Everyone's fitness is different. I thought I made a mistake when I bought the ST5, but I got really fit and are doing +110 miles days. (My Apple watch tells me I'm burning +3000 callories in the process)

$390 is just the unit. It looks pretty easy to do with some snap ring pliers & 90 degree tips.

    Charging Di2 battery?

So, because the Di2 battery last so long, I totally forgot about charging it... I was 45 miles in on an 80 miles ride when the battery died... I was stuck on 7th speed... It really sucked limping home on a single speed. Yes, I'm aware on how to check battery level at the junction. I think I'm...

Can no longer charge ST5 - any ideas?

I would have fixed it my self as I was the one that discovered the fault. However, ELV Motors did the work under warranty and the tech even came my house. (100 miles round trip) (I tipped the tech with cash.) The work was not hard - no splicing any wires just a connector (plug & play by colors)...

Can no longer charge ST5 - any ideas?

Too bad you don’t have easy access to the bike, but I feel strongly that you have the same problem as I did. This is the $20 connector at the bottom of the battery compartment that caused the unreliable connection. (cannot charge battery while battery in bike, can charge battery out of the bike. )

Can no longer charge ST5 - any ideas?

You'd have to understand how a Rosenberger connector works. https://www.rosenberger.com/product/ropd/ One side of the connector (Bike side - battery conpartment) the conductor contacts are spring loaded. (Like a Pogo stick) Same as on the end of your charger. (All 6 contacts are spring...
