You can pedal against regen mode even on flat or uphills.

It’s Lock or Off. In lock mode you can’t push it around and a slow drain on battery.(cuz it’s on) Menu - Settings - Startup (to turn off PIN on startup.)

Go down a hill - hold minus (does not matter which assist mode holding minus will trigger recoup / regen) - tap minus and will select how much regen it will allow. More arrow means stronger / slow down faster. - hold either plus or minus again to switch of regen mode.

Anyone that thinks the TRP front brake is not powerful enough are simply too afraid to grab at it. Them ST5 brakes will lock up or throw you over the bars at anytime if you don’t know how to lean back and modulate the HD944 pumps.

I would disagree. Have you used the recoup function extensively? Hold the minus button and trigger recoup mode. I have done +110 miles days on the ST5 using recoup. Coming down a 2600 feet mountain climb I can recoup a significant amount of energy. This is not regen braking you get when...

The mounting rings of Roxim Z4E Pro on a ST3 looks exactly like that on a ST5 Supernova M99 Pro. Supernova made the M99 pro with a custom wire connector for the ST5. (Maybe that's the same connector on the ST3.) Ask them - [email protected]

@redshiftquasars If you don't mind sharing, what's your mileage and battery range now? All other variable aside. (Rider weight / rider style...etc) My 2019 ST5 now has about ~6000 miles and range about ~60 miles. I pretty much mostly been using mode 2 since new.

The pinion cables? Would be a travesty if there was no electronic shifting. I would buy the R&M Rohloff e14 instead.

I would have fixed it my self as I was the one that discovered the fault. However, ELV Motors did the work under warranty and the tech even came my house. (100 miles round trip) (I tipped the tech with cash.) The work was not hard - no splicing any wires just a connector (plug & play by colors)...

Too bad you don’t have easy access to the bike, but I feel strongly that you have the same problem as I did. This is the $20 connector at the bottom of the battery compartment that caused the unreliable connection. (cannot charge battery while battery in bike, can charge battery out of the bike. )
