Proper seats/saddles (especially for an e-bike)

https://ergonbike.shop/collections/core-prime-saddle-collection With all the positive comments about the Ergon grips, I'm surprised more folks aren't using Ergon saddles. Two years plus to date and all my other saddles are now vitamin D deficient.

    Turbo Vado Tubeless?

I'm using tubeless on my Vado, but bought after market wheels. I converted my wife's Como stock wheels to tubeless with no issues. The Como wheels use the Schrader valve stems, and they are available for tubeless conversion. The Vado will use Presta valves. Tubeless can run lower air pressure...

A distant but familiar sound - broken spoke

"Really so much information I read on forums and often advanced by those who present themselves as authoritative is not at all what I experience in actual practice." Not an authority but worked as a bike mechanic for years and certified back when USCF was a thing. Retired now and building wheels...

A distant but familiar sound - broken spoke

Replacing any spoke, esp. straight pull, road side might be an issue. The brake rotor or cassette in place could be problematic when pulling a spoke out of the hub or getting the spoke back into the hub. Most of the wheels I've repaired/rebuilt with straight spokes use bladed spokes, which...

    Specialized vado 5.0 wheels

https://www.noxcomposites.com USA not UK but the info might be good. I worked with and bought a carbon rim, tubeless ready wheel set from NOX for my 2021 Vado 5.0. I have over 4.5K on the wheel set and no issues. Light wheels/less rotating weight is a good performance upgrade, and a well built...

Questions About Your Vado 4 Experience

2019 Como 2.0 3K plus miles, traded in on 2021 Vado 5.0 5K plus miles. Wife's 2021 Como 5.0 approaching 4K miles. 45 to 70 miles per charge. All good.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I tried the adjustment with no luck. The replaced seat post is rigid, the original from the 2021 Como 5.0. The 2021 Como has the Thudbuster and the resulting plush ride. The original tires on the 2022 Como 4.0 are huge and running low pressure gets a nice ride, that and the Ergon saddle works...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Same experience with the suspension post on my 2022 Como 4.0. I gave it back to the shop and installed the post from the from the 2021 Como 5.0. Saved a lot of weight as well :)

    Turbo Vado Kickstand too long

Yes, the bottom of the kickstand can be removed. Mine was too long after installation of smaller tires. It was hollow but after cutting to shorten I filled it with silicon cement and trimmed. Works great.

    Which commuter ebike? Specialized 2022 Como/Vado 5.0 vs 2022 Trek Allant+ 7S

Other than the 2022 Como 4.0 mentioned below, my wife and I have the Como, hers and Vado, me. Both 2021 5.Os, Amazing bikes. She likes the 21 5.0 more than the 22 4.0.

    Which commuter ebike? Specialized 2022 Como/Vado 5.0 vs 2022 Trek Allant+ 7S

My 2922 Como 4.0 with the 700w battery gets a lot of miles per charge. You should have no issues. I changed the seat post and saddle for non-non-suspension post and an Ergon saddle. The stock suspension post didn't work for me. The Ergon saddle is dynamic and padded.

Oops ... rear mech/hanger crash damage Vado SL 5

Looks like the lower arm/bracket is out of line, the bottom is pushed in toward the wheel. You might bend this out and see if that works, you may need to make a minor adjustment to the shift lever. Eyeball from behind to see that everything is in line, the chain should run straight from the...

Mike, I'll add a picture soon. The strap is around the rim/tire and clamp, threaded between spokes. It secures the clamp to the tire/wheel.
