    ODK U500 - Winter Riding?

Still riding. We've taken a few CostCo trips, even. Currently, my bike is getting serviced. I replaced the Tektro HD-E710 brakes with Avid BB7's. I'm having the shop put the originals back on, as I just couldn't get the BB7's dialed-in. They're a great system, but my mechanical skills must not...

These brake are seriously the worst!

That's the document I keep on my computer and in my phone. However, I must be daft, at least with bleeding. Went through so much fluid when I attempted it, and the line still had air in it. More-so, actually. And the pistons still would not budge. Had to have my LBS do it. Since then, I have...

    ODK U500 - Winter Riding?

I know I'm resurrecting a dead topic, but this is a pretty dead subforum. ;) We purchased two U500's in the winter. We live in Seattle, where we got about 11" of rainfall in our first month of riding. Also, we work downtown, which is a 328-ft. gain in less than a mile. Not too steep if you're...

These brake are seriously the worst!

Fewer than 2,000. We have two of them, also, and have had them since February. We ride them everywhere, but most likely don't have 2,000 miles. We had computers on the bikes, but they were terribly inaccurate and ended up not working altogether after a couple of weeks. So I've no idea how many...

These brake are seriously the worst!

These Tektro Dorado brakes are the worst piece of equipment on this bike, and are the most important system on any bike. Just changing the pads is difficult to do, because the pistons get so stuck that you cannot get them all the way back in. I just changed the pads for the second time, and...

Sorry! I didn't see this. Guess I don't get email notifications. :( This actually is not a basket setup, but a "custom" child seat. It utilises the Bike Friday Whoopee-Deux [1] and the Xtracycle Magic Carpet [2]. Happy cycling! [1]...

Tire upgrade for Juiced ODK U500? (20x2.125)

Thanks, Chris! Question - I've tried figuring out what would fit on these wheels, but don't exactly understand it. Even checked out Sheldon Brown's write-up on sizing. Care to explain how thin and how thick I can go so I can determine my range of what size tires to look for?

Tire upgrade for Juiced ODK U500? (20x2.125)

We've had our ODK U500's since the end of January, and have put several hundreds of miles on them. The front tires are beginning to show considerable wear, and will need replaced before the rainy season hits us again here in Seattle. I'd like to get a head-start on that, so I've been trying to...

    Panniers?

Thanks for the reply, Jep! Those A2B's look almost exactly like our Willex bags, which are 52L and much more affordable. Really want to have Xtracycle bags or similar. These bags are clumsy and I have to use binder clips to keep them closed.

    Panniers?

Hey folks! Has anyone found some good panniers for their Juiced ODKU500? We are using these panniers from Holland Bike Shop, which utilize Velcro instead of any sort of strap closure system. This means they flap open a lot. So we're trying to find something else that we can use that'll store a...
