Another easy 10-minute update followed by a boring ride where everything worked perfectly.

Yes, I've got a 500Wh Transcend E+ and even when I bought it replacement battery packs were available, at $1600NZD - but, bonus, they're already 675Wh, which would increase my range markedly. You may not even be able get a 500Wh battery for it.?

Another easy 10-minute update followed by a boring ride where everything worked perfectly.

Yeah, me too, just over a year owned, ridden most days, on my commute, which is downhill ~200 m over 2.6 kms of a total of ~7km, followed by the reverse, climbing back up that at the end of the day. When I've looked before and after my rides, I've found it uses approximately 5 % of the battery...

    2021 Momentum Transend E+

Yes, i bought some 'mountain bike' fenders, wider (just) than the tires, originally intended for a 26 inch wheel, but made them fit. The front is easy, but to attach the rear one down next to the cranks i used a very long cable (zip) tie kinda looped right round the seat-tube and one of the...

    Firmware updates and 'Service' query

Hey, this probably applies to more than just Momentums or Yamaha motors, but wondering about where I can hear about Firmware updates for my bike... Do I have to take it to the LBS? Is this what is 'updated' through the Giant app I use when the 'updates' come through? Also, my app tells me...

    Hi from Christchurch NZ!!

Turns out I couldn't boost it in the App from 300W to 350W, it falls back to 300 after you've pushed the button. The only one I could change was the middle setting from 150 to 175, which is where I've left it. For range purposes, I've started using middle setting over the 'Auto' setting, while...

    2021 Momentum Transend E+

110km from a charge is a lot! I'm only managing about half that. But then, I climb a large hill every day. I find the gear range just about perfect. On the flat I cruise at top speed 32kph all the time in 6th or 7th. As well as mudguards and a front (Surly 24pack) rack I changed out the...

    2021 Momentum Transend E+

Thanks for that. Yeah I've got an Alfine 8 on my Troll and the yellow alignment marks are the same. I did check them and they're good. I'm wondering if it's in the drive from motor to crank... Seems really intermittent. One of those annoying ones that probably wouldn't show up at the shop lol...

    2021 Momentum Transend E+

Hey guys, I've got one of these 2021 models too (bought back in November). It's running quite well, but there's a couple of quirks i'm wondering about... I noticed on the Momentum website they call it a 28 mph (ie, 45kph) machine for the latest models (2022 year?), while using the same...

    Hi from Christchurch NZ!!

Hi all, Always a cycle commuter, moved up onto the Port Hills in November, 220m above sea level, and no way was I going to lug my Surly Troll up that every afternoon. So, got myself a Momentum Transcend E+, 2021 model, put some mudguards and my Surly 24pack rack on it. So far so good. I'm doing...
