    garmin varia is excellent

It is very good (visibility to cars behind) but to me it is better than a separate light for 2 reasons Works with the Radar (changes blinking pattern when a car approaches behind to alert the driver) No need to charge another device

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

You said it well. Everything is in good state, nothing bent or anything on my bike. Here's the thread of another owner having exactly the same issue, on the same bike - Roam E+ Chain Popped Off

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I was wearing shorts or running pants. The reason the chain coming off is clear, it's just that the design is not preventing it under normal riding conditions. I'm not riding on a rough terrain when this happens, just some bumps that could be anywhere. As a matter of fact, when I ride in off...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

It is an easy fix if ready made parts are available for it. The one that's installed on Revolt is braze on like you said, which means there should be screw holes for mounting in precise location on the bike and my Roam E+ doesn't have it. The one I installed is a universal one that required...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

It took me a great effort to find something that worked for me. This isn't like something that's readily available even at Giant's store. I took my bike in a few times for this issue already since they wanted to take a look, every time they said it's taken care of, I was able to take the chain...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Right. I wished Giant would acknowledge the issue and provide the custom chain guide to fix the issue. Revolt E+ comes with it and it's obvious why it's there.

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

It is very predictable and consistent. It does happen at tall gears more such as speed 8 and 9, rarely happens on speed 7 and below. Could be the tension or orientation. I understand it can happen but definitely not normal. It was happening on my commute rides on paved bike lanes. It happens...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Same problem here, with frequent chain drop issue and this, I was very upset. I simply pulled the chain out with brute force when it's stuck. Eventually installed the chain guide. Contacted Giant, they simply send you to local dealer who will not do anything, says it is *normal*, I disagree.

    Giant Roam E+ Reviews

I was doing the same, but frequent occurrences really started to get annoying. Honestly, this is not acceptable for a bike at this price range. I've never had this issue on other bikes I owned but this was the first bike with 1x9 drivetrain - meaning no derailleurs on the front. I do see that...

    Giant Roam E+ Reviews

hmm.. looks like it does not, and still suffers from the same issue. I was tempted to remove a link from the chain but the service advisor was against it. Anyway, this was quite unexpected and really bothersome issue to have.

    Giant Roam E+ Reviews

Deore I believe has clutch mechanism which maintains tension better which should help with those situations where I saw chain drops on my Roam e+. I ended up installing chain guard to fix the chain drop issue which was happening almost everyday.

    Quick-E+

I'm using a similar product, haven't had the chain drop since it was installed. This is not on Quick-E but should work.

    garmin varia is excellent

Here's a good review (IMO) comparing several options - mirror vs varia vs fly6

    garmin varia is excellent

Yes, I've seen this type of response everywhere. Varia does not replace the mirror, you'd still want it. It just enhances how you use make use of your mirror more efficiently. The problem with mirror alone is that you're not looking into the mirror at all times.

    garmin varia is excellent

You might want to consider getting a bike computer that works with Varia. Most ebikes also provide speed, cadence, power data to it (works better than most phones for this IMO). Once I got myself Edge 530, I don't use my phone (still carry it though). It also has additional safety feature I'd...

    garmin varia is excellent

Some day, Ebikes may get this built-into the design and perhaps federal government make it a mandatory feature on Ebikes - I could be dreaming. It's pricy and inconvenient, but ebikes have a battery already so it would be nice to be able to use that instead of constantly charging it separately...

Has anyone used Garmin Edge 130 with a Giant e-bike with RideControl One remote?

If there's a Giant e-bike specific app, I'd like to know. I have not found one yet. The E-Bike field app has some nice features in premium version but I've had difficulty getting it to work reliably along with other built-in Ebike features in Edge 530. I think the built-in Ebike support is...

Has anyone used Garmin Edge 130 with a Giant e-bike with RideControl One remote?

It turns out, I was wrong. You don't need E-bike field to get Ebike related readings. Garmin Edge already supports number of features out of box including battery level, assistant level, remaining range. I learned that what E-bike field brings is logging of battery level and assistant level...
