    Radwagon rear spoke tension adjustment

Mine fit (wasn't the TM1), not sure what the LBS uses. My guess is that the boys on the back just shortened the time when you'd need to tighten the spokes. Its a known issue on the wagons - the spokes just get loose periodically.

    Radwagon rear spoke tension adjustment

Agreed. The first time I tried tightening my own spokes, I broke one. I still do a little tightening now and then, but its part of my spring tune-up to have the LBS true the wheels.

    Radwagon rear spoke tension adjustment

I think a spoke wrench would work best, but not sure if that means a regular wrench wouldn't work. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Avenir-94-27-001-Round-Spoke-Wrench/dp/B00165U0T4

2015 IZIP E3 Dash in the Seattle area, $900 obo

Class 3 ebike (28mph) with 495 miles on it. Battery holds its charge well, and there are no cosmetic, mechanical or electrical issues to speak of. Very fun to ride, but the 19" frame is just a little too big for me, so it's time to get something more suitable. Comes with rack, fenders...

Changing the 48V dolphin battery case on the Radrover. Step by step.

@Routb3d sorry to hear that! Rad informed that there is no fuse in my battery, and they declared the battery dead. 99% of the time I was good about bringing in the battery in cold weather, but didn't during our recent cold/snow snap here in Seattle. I fear I may have shortened the life on it...

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a go.

Changing the 48V dolphin battery case on the Radrover. Step by step.

There is one bar of charge showing when the bike is on, and it does provide power, but cuts out when stressed on a hill. So, it's not dead, but nearly. Unfortunately I don't have diagnostic tools to get a voltage reading. We'll see what Rad says - perhaps I'll end up investing in some tools...

Changing the 48V dolphin battery case on the Radrover. Step by step.

Wow, great. So if there's no fuse and the battery won't charge...that doesn't sound good at all.

Radwagon 12G spokes and nipples. Available from Rad Power.

In my previous post I said I ordered some from Amazon. I did, but they were not cut/threaded, so still had to find someone who could do that. Since then, I ordered spokes from sunnyspokes as well - they work great! Also, since then in speaking with Rad, they did offer to give me a few cut...

Changing the 48V dolphin battery case on the Radrover. Step by step.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I'm having similar fuse issues. My 2016 RadWagon battery is dead and won't charge. Rad missed the part about it being a 2016 model, and sent me to their page for how to change the fuse on a 2018 model. Mine is different, of course. I did find a rubber plug...

Broke 5000 miles on my Radwagon in just over 1 year

Impressive! I have about half that mileage after 1 year. I wimped out and took a few months off during winter due to cold/rain/etc. Swapped out the Kendas for Schwalbe Marathon Plus, and very happy with them. 1700 miles, no flats and rarely need to inflate.

    A 'real' flat-resistant tire?

I had 3 flats with stock Kenda tires within the first 500 miles. Switched to Marathon Plus, and after 1,100 miles on them, nary a flat. I don't notice the weight, and they roll better than the Kenda did.

    RadWagon and rider height

I'm also 5'11". You'll want to be sure the headset is tilted all the way up, and you may need a longer seat post. Mine is just barely long enough.

    Battery Upgrade/Backup

It may not fit under the downtube, either. You'd want to be sure to measure that.

Long e-bike commute in Chicago area

I also do a 22-mile one-way commute (in Seattle) 3x/week. I ditched my bus pass, but pay per-ride on the days I don't bike. It's more expensive per ride, but per month it saves about $40. Not a lot, but it adds up. Winters here are pretty mild - it would be rare that snow/ice would prevent a...

    battery issue and Abus locks

@chgofirefighter the only ones who want to carry a heavy chain are the ones who don't want their bike stolen. if you're in a medium or big city, cable locks are useless. a good u-lock or heavy chain lock is your best insurance policy. yes, they're heavy, cumbersome, etc., but your bike will...

If you decide on a cargo bike, RadPower Bikes makes a good one that's half the cost of the Spicy Curry, the RadWagon http://www.radpowerbikes.com/products/radwagon-electric-cargo-bike. I own one and am happy with it. I don't carry kids on it, but most owners do, I believe. It's not quite as big...

It's great that they'll make them available to you, but note that when I needed some, they were out of stock. I ordered 72 of them (1 box) on Amazon for $22.
