    Monte Capro Ultra

I finally fixed the creak. I placed a 0.2mm micro spacer under the top bearing dust cover. No more creaking.

    Monte Capro Ultra

Thanks! I already tried replacing the seat and seatpost. I think we are zeroing in in the head bearings. Also, the local bike shop says that there should never be more than three 10mm spacers below the stem. It apparently places too much stress on the head, possibly leading to creaking or...

    Monte Capro Ultra

Thanks. Mine began creaking around 100 miles. I have a torque wrench and set bolt torque already. Interestingly, it only creaks on smooth straightaways with no rough roads.

    Monte Capro Ultra

My Monte Capro Ultra also creaks. It seems to be coming from the headset and below the seat. The creak seems to occur with the left pedal in the 10 o'clock position. There is no creek when using the throttle only. I disassembled and greased the headset components and reassembled. I replaced the...

Aventure Brake issue - I fixed the rear brake problem where it rubs during motor acceleration and after a few miles, it stops rubbing during acceleration. I took apart the rear break and found that there was paint on a corner where the pads move. A few strokes of a file and a minute amount of...

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I think the problem with the speedometer was temperature sensitive Hall Effect transister(s) in the motor. The replacement motor solved the issue. It brought on another problem: during acceleration, the rear brake rubs. After a half hour of riding, that problem goes away. I think the spring in...

Bluetooth connection between app and bike works now. I cleared the cash, then cleared the memory in the app. Then I deleted the app. Finally, I reinstalled the app from the Google Play store. The app took right off and connected to the bike. Looks like I had the old app on my phone. Problem one...

Still working on the Bluetooth connection and speedometer/odometer issue with Aventon. Will update as the issue progresses. I reseated the display and hub connectors to no avail on Saturday when the problems occurred. Sunday, when it was cool outside, I took a short ride and the speedometer...

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Thanks, Robrob! I will check the cadence sensor and it's wiring. I did not suspect it because the 1/2 speed reading also occurs with the throttle only action.

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I just received my Aventon Aventure Stepthrough. It has great power and rides nice. There is an App that is supposed to work with the bike. It looks like it pairs OK with the QR picture, but whenever I attempt to use the App I get a message on my smart phone to turn on Bluetooth. Bluetooth is on...
