    New York State ebike legislation

and you know what…if they want to keep people riding ebikes and escooters out of parks or the west side bikeway, then do something about all the cars that double park in bike paths now. I can’t tell you how many times I have to ride into traffic because of a double parked car in a bike lane...

    Who's got a Current?

Out of curiosity, did you get the Shimano or Enviolo hub? As for the speed converson, I currently have an Espin Sport which is a 500w rear hub set up for Class 3. I could in theory hit 28mph, but I barely ever go over 20mph because I'm riding in NYC everyday. Between traffic and all the...

    Who's got a Current?

thanks for the feedback. It really does sound like a great little bike. Might I ask what size frame you purchased and your height for some perspective?

    Who's got a Current?

Really appreciate your thoughtful insight. Everything you're saying makes a ton of sense. If your tires are holding up out there in SF, then they would probably hold up here. My concern is also with the no name motor, but you make a great point about Priority being right here from NYC, so...

    Who's got a Current?

Actually came across yours posts. Extremely informative. How's it going for you now and how would think the bike would hold up in the place like NYC? There's not a lot of hills here, but there's tons of stop and go, lots of traffic, and a lot of bumps in the road. Oh, lets not forget about...

    Who's got a Current?

So this is a very interesting and appealing bike. Just wondering who has one, and what do your likes and dislikes? Curious to hear what owners have to say since there's not much out there in terms of posts from owners or video reviews on youtube.

How do I know when it's time bleed brakes?

When you mean pull them back too far, are you talking about squeezing the handle all the way? Because I had an issue with that, but it wasn't the brakes, it was just the handle being loose. Just needed to tighten the screw and fixed that issue. Anyway you can describe "mushy" a little better...

How do I know when it's time bleed brakes?

Have a '20 Sport with about 1300 miles on it so far. Brakes feel fine, at most I had to tighten the handle screw, but otherwise no issues. What should I be looking out for to know when its time to bleed and service the brakes?

    New York State ebike legislation

It's the same thing on West Side Highway bikeway. Those signs are all over the place there which makes no sense because its a F*CKING BIKEWAY. What do they want, people to actually ride their bikes IN TRAFFIC on 12th Ave and die? Ridiculous, backwards, counterproductive and just outright stupid.

    Brakes Question - 2020 Sport

Seems like this did the trick. The lever feels much 'tighter' and just more like what properly functional brakes should feel like. Now I just have to adjust the other side and I'll be good to go. Thanks a lot!

    Brakes Question - 2020 Sport

I have a 2020 Sport, about 900 or so miles on it. I starting to notice my right brake handle is far 'looser' and doesn't seem to be as tight feeling as my left brake. Any ideas on what adjustments maybe needed (hydraulic fluid, brake pads, tighten a screw...) and has anyone else with a Sport or...

    '21 Espin Sport project bike.....

Definitely not a set up issue. Had the bike checked by an LBS after I put it together also. Made sure the gears were tuned, chain was greased, etc.. I since went and further tuned the gears myself watching the Park Tool video on Youtube. While the tuning always does help a bit, the shifting...

    '21 Espin Sport project bike.....

So I have a '20 Sport with the SRAM setup (shifter, derailleur, 11-32t cassette.) I always found the shifting to feel clunky, even after tuning the gears. I have a regular city hybrid (not electric) that has a Shimano Altus derailleur and shifter, which I've always found to be smooth, quiet and...

    Espin Nero

Lowering the voltage should also get you better battery life. When you lowered the voltage at the expense of acceleration, did you find that at higher PAS levels, it still got to the top speed, but just took a little longer to get there?

Latest New Espin Sport/Flow update (1/14/2021)

Same happened to me. Just left the box in the lobby of my building without even ringing my doorbell to get in. Have no idea how he even got into the building since we don't have a doorman and there is no special code for Fedex to use to get in. Shocked they don't have a signature required for...

How to Change the # of PAS levels on Espin Flow and Sport - Manual Attached.

Did you make any other changes besides change the PAS levels? According to that manual, you can also change the max speed of the bike and I think how quick the PAS actually kicks in.

Shipment Update: Sport ordered on Jan 7....ON THE WAY????

I knew it was too good to be true. Received an email last night from Josh the owner which seemed personal, but probably sent to a few people. Essentially, there was an error made at the fulfillment warehouse and we were erroneously told our bikes would ship soon. Still in line for the February...

Shipment Update: Sport ordered on Jan 7....ON THE WAY????

Like I wrote above, I did order a black Sport. From other threads here and on other social media, it seems as if the blue Sport is a much more popular color. I'd also think all their other step through model bikes would be more popular as well based on what I've seen in this forum and on social...

Shipment Update: Sport ordered on Jan 7....ON THE WAY????

Even if I paid more, I didn't pay much more. I still got $150 off the current list price which isn't too bad.
