I certainly don't consider it a frame failure, it's not like it's totally cracked or through an entire section of the frame. I prefer the Superdelite for the road, and the Hydra on the trails. I've been sticking to the road and light trails just to be safe.

The down tube. They're circular in shape and in two places. I have no doubt Pushkar is right and that they're cosmetic, but again since I've got another bike I don't have any reason to chance it.

Do you need the fat tire spacers to get around the fender supports? I see they have fender pads, but didn’t think my rack would clear the supports.

My Hydra did not have any screws for the display clamp. While you can move it without screws, it is secure without them.

R+M is 100mm of travel standard (Delite or Superdelite) and is 140mm if you add the GX option with or without the Fox upgrade. The mountain version is 150mm.

Thanks to those of you who responded to this thread. I pulled the trigger today on a Superdelite Rohloff HS with the GX and Fox options. Looking forward to posting more in the R&M forums.

I’ve not experienced any delays. They came out with a different battery last year that increased the shifting speed and I bought that, but I had no issues on the original batteries either. I really like the new paddle shifter vs the original buttons.
