Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

I've also had the same problem with my rear brakes (Rize 17Ah version) and replaced with Shimano B01S organic brake pads. Initial impressions are good for the B01S, however their initial bite isn't as great as the Tektro pads they are replacing (so far). I have a small squeek coming from them...

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Hey Handlebars, What I believe to be the masterlink (might not be the correct terminology) is indicated by the black/dark grey pin in one of the links. I checked the other bike and it also has this pin, but so far so good on that chain so your mileage may vary.

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Hey Barzy, I ended up buying a Park Tool chain breaker (mini brute) at a LBS for about $25.00 which worked fine. I don't think you really need the other items in that set and I'm not too sure of the quality of those pieces. The mini chain brute is small enough to carry on rides and I also...

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I think if I was to do it all over again I would just use two sections of inner tube and wrap/tape both ends of the controller and forego the furniture pads. That way you have ~80% of the surface area uncovered for heat dissipation. Alternatively you could cement the controller in place with JB...

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Hey everyone, I have had some minor issues with my Rize bike in the past few days, one of which I'll detail here. After initial assembly and an extended shakedown ride the day after, I noticed a sound coming from the head tube area. I tried reassembling the fork and stem as the sound appeared...

    Rize vs Surface 604

Hey DrRx, I compared the Rize (upgraded version) to the Surface 604 Colt. For me I noticed that the battery was smaller and it was also slightly more expensive. I also didn't really like the colour as I had a chance to see one in the wild when I was completing my initial research. I think the...

Leisure Step: Canada vs US specifications??

Hey DrRx, I wanted to point out a few things in regards to regulations, etc. In short, it really depends on where you live in Canada. As Spatzi has already pointed out, I believe ebikes are not federally regulated, however that doesn't mean that they aren't provincially regulated. If you live...

Rize September 2020 Delivery Input and Updates

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to chime in with my experience with ordering. My partner and I pre-ordered ($200 deposit for each bike) in June knowing that the bikes (Rize and Rize City, both the upgraded models) wouldn't ship until August. I was hoping it would ship August 1st but they shipped...
