    Disappointed by TSDZ2 torque-motor performance

Forgot to add...I have the 860C display and I have one screen set to monitor human power and motor power. With both motor and battery set at 18 amps, the motor consistently pegs 600-800 watts power when accelerating and continues to pull as cadence exceeds 90. This is from the 48V Tongsheng...

    Disappointed by TSDZ2 torque-motor performance

UPDATE TO MY EARLIER POST: Worked with David from Eco Cycles and he patiently helped me work out the bugs. Also took the time to explain to me more on the the TSDZ2 motor. OSF V1.1 now works beautifully and I definitely understand more about the V1.1 firmware and which parameters to tweak. My...

    Disappointed by TSDZ2 torque-motor performance

Hi, I have both the Tongsheng and Bafang setups. Just some comments: My daughter loves her 750W Tongsheng mounted on her 2020 Trek Mariner 6. And yes you are correct: to get what you want, you need the throttle. I bought the Tongsheng setup online like you and then upgraded with the 860C display...

Disadvantage of integrated mid drives that I don't see mentioned

I just installed the TSDZ2 on my Trek Mariner 6. Works well with the latest Open Source V1.1 however I wish there were more videos online to support the installations like there are for the Bafang. I've already installed 2 Bafangs and those are rockets but not torque sensing. I get 37mph on my...

Anybody else go from a rear hub motor to mid drive?

Actually, most of the mid-drive users with cadence sensing units (which it seems you have) don't use the shifters that much and use the assist levels more...when approaching a hill, downshift several gears before the hill and when you start climbing and it gets harder increase the assist levels...

Any hub motor e-bike recs for my farm?

Just to be sure...I mention an older 26" bike because the bottom bracket is located up front more than the newer bikes. The BB0S2 or BBSHD can than be installed a little higher for ground clearancen as it will be raised a bit. Price will easily be under $2,000.

Any hub motor e-bike recs for my farm?

I would strongly recommend keeping cost down by going with an older, used 26" hard tail (front suspension) bike and go with large knobby tires aka 2.25x26" and disc brakes. You can probably pick up a used bike on eBay for under $500 and add on a Bafang BBSHD (this is the better motor as far as...
