    Canadian orders

I just ordered a Rad Mission and it says they are shipping in July. On the U.S. website they are shipping the next business day! Same with most of the accessories that are out of stock in Canada. I don’t know why they can’t just load up some trucks and send the stuff across the border from...

    Resale Values of e-Bikes

I agree about the Rad bikes. I have seen a couple of Rad Rovers for sale here in southern Ontario and they are asking almost full retail price.

    Question about balancing the battery.

What are the problems associated with leaving the battery at 100 percent charged for an extended period? I know Rad says to leave it at about 70 percent if letting it sit, which I do. Just curious what happens if you leave it fully charged? Thank you.

I’ve been waiting for a rear rack for my Rover since I bought it last October 😆. Hopefully things are about to get better!

    Canadian orders

I have been waiting for a seat, mirror, and bag, which I ordered 5-8 weeks ago. Today I received an email from Rad informing me they have expanded their Canadian fulfillment centre, whatever that means😊. Anyway, it sounds like good news for those ordering from Canada. “Hi Ian, We expanded...

    Power consumption when stopped

Thank you to everyone for the replies. I think I will get in the habit of turning the key off whenever I’m off the bike. That will probably conserve power, and also, as a couple of people pointed out, prevent anyone from riding off with the bike!

    Power consumption when stopped

Out of curiosity, I have a rather trivial question. I’m wondering if the bike is using any power when it is stopped? I usually don’t bother to turn off my bike when I stop for a break, and it turns off by itself after about 10 minutes, I think. Is it better to actually turn the bike off...

New member, looking to get into ebikes

I’m the same as you with motorcycles. I sold my last one almost 2 years ago (a beautiful Honda NC750X), and I miss it a lot. But I’m 64, and I know I’m losing the mental and physical alertness you need to ride a motorcycle safely. Couple that with so many inattentive drivers on cell phones and...

    New Squeaky brakes

Have you tried calling Rad Powerbikes? That should be your first step, since the bike is brand new, before you start messing around with the rotors and pads.

Congratulations on your new Radmini! It looks great - I like the seat. Happy and safe riding!

Haha, good observation! I’ve never heard anyone with an ebike say they don’t like it 😊

New member, looking to get into ebikes

I have had a Radrunner for about a month now and I love it. I also have a Radrover, but the Radrunner is now my go-to bike. It’s just so much fun! I’m 64, 6 feet and 200 pounds - almost the same ‘specs’ as you, though probably not as strong, haha. The Radrunner has a rated capacity of 300...

Just ordered a RadRunner 1 looking at seat option and user experiences.

I would recommend trying the seat on the Radrunner first. I got a Radrunner about a month ago, and I find the seat is actually fairly comfortable, more comfortable than the seat on my RadRover. I had read other people complaining about the seat, and I was expecting i would need to replace it...

    Great bike ride photos

So beautiful, thank you for sharing. Really makes me want to ride in England!

We are working on a documentary: "A story of the electric bicycle in the United States"

I would also add Mike Radenbaugh, founder of Rad Powerbikes, who started building ebikes when he was 15 and now runs the largest ebike company in North America.

    Coyote encounters

I don’t doubt there was something wrong with the muskrat, and I would be scared too! I just doubt it was rabies.

    Coyote encounters

I’ve never heard of muskrats having rabies; I doubt they are susceptible. And my understanding is that rabies in coyotes is quite rare. The main animal vectors, at least here in Canada, are bats and raccoons, along with dogs.

Is there a difference between the high step and mid step radmission besides standover height?

Hi Timpo, what are the differences? Other than the geometry, I’m not seeing any. Thanks! Ian
