What's with the recent gain in popularity with the M600 mid drive?

Not sure if this was mentioned recently but there was talk a few pages back about the WW Archon X1 not being available separate from ordering it on a bike. That appears to have changed. The WW website has options to buy a motor + X1 upgrade or install of the controller on a customer supplied...

    Shift sensor questions

My bbshd has a shift sensor and I feel it works great. Worked so well I could actually hold full throttle and knock off up shifts without any adverse chain issues. Still works well after converting to IGH. In fact the entire action of shifting with the IGH and shift sensor works so well I don't...

    250-300Nm of torque?

I guess I'll just start putting in some overtime at work 🤣. How limited is the reservation slots?

    250-300Nm of torque?

That's just flat out awesome. Do you take trade-ins? My juggernaut HD Duo has served me very well but I don't need 2 bikes. 👍 Payment plan maybe?

    250-300Nm of torque?

Completely awesome and if I had the cash I would plunk it down right now! 3 questions though... 1. What rear hub will survive that power? 2. Don't love the Dorado battery setup. Any chance of a hailong type battery like the secondary batteries on the Duo line? 3. Will there be a full...

    Luna Lumenator

Ok everyone, I have finally had a chance to install the Luna Lumenator on my bike today. I tried to make a video of the unboxing and install but I have come to realize something.. I hate narrating through a camera. So here is my unboxing, installation, and first impression notes. The kit comes...

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

I push 58v 25amps through my SA 3 speed hub and it eats it up. Key was to turn the start current setting all the way down to value 1

Look on the bright side Tom. If this fails, you won't have to fix it 🙃. And I'll probably end up buying a 500c display if you got one in stock.

So what you're saying is I should do an initial review, and then revisit this summer when the heat kills the display. Deal! I'll be very pleased if this works out, and shrug it off if it doesn't. I may have time tonight to install it if I skip making a video out of the whole process and comparison.

Exactly what I will be doing. Especially since my harness is routed through the bike frame, so not the "5 minute" swap they claim on their website. I don't blame them too much for that wording though. If I had converted a regular bike with a BBSHD kit that would be the case.

🤣 This is my first time purchasing from them. Probably should have started with something cheaper. Like a sticker. Or keychain 🙃

Just got it last night. Unboxed and thought the same thing. Nothing has been installed and mounted yet, but in order to angle it down to where I feel the light should be pointed, it looks as though the screen will be pointed straight up, meaning viewing would be at an angle. An adjustable screen...

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

Don't know. I only use the Speed at Cadence calculator. It's on the left hand side menu bar. Input your wheel and tire dimensions. Your chainring size and your rear sprocket size. For the sturmey archer you will need to calculate speeds 1 and 3 on your own and input the equivalent sprocket...

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

Yes just know the speed % value in PAS settings for each PAS level is actually the % of motor speed. ie: a value of 50 means the motor will assist up to half of the motor's max speed. This is where using bikecalc.com comes in crazy handy. I used the throttle in first gear to find the speed at...

I second this. Bikecalc is awesome.

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

I would stick to 18t based on your calculations that puts you at 15 mph at 60rpm in 3rd gear. The BBSHD will throttle well past that if needed but going much smaller with the rear cog will start lugging it in 1st gear. Being that the motor is cadence based, it will always want to keep you going...

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

What was your old chainring size? Were you always using the 20t rear cog? Do you use throttle? What would you want your max top speed to be if using throttle?

Yeah I went ahead and ordered one. I'll do my best to get pics and maybe some video comparison. Processed and ready for shipping. 👍

Exactly what I thought as well. Not interested in the CA3. Was actually about to purchase the 500c display because my DPC18 is rather large and annoying especially at night and also wanted a simple plug and play headlight upgrade but kept coming up short. This basically kills 2 birds with one...
