Ordered a Sport and a Flow

So both of our shipping labels were created 12/27. Espin is telling you that FedEx has not yet picked up your bike. Espin is telling me that FedEx picked up my bike on 12/31, but has not yet scanned it into their tracking system. I just cannot believe that FedEx has been in possesion of a...

Ordered a Sport and a Flow

I received an email from Espin on 12/27 saying "Your order is on the way", and providing a FedEx tracking number. When I clicked the tracking number, the FedEx website said the shipping label had been created 12/27 and delivery was estimated for 1/6. That date came and went with no change to the...

    Rainwater in the battery compartment?

The Espin Sport battery compartment is on the top side of the downtube? Has anybody had trouble with rain seeping into the battery comaprtment? Seems like it would definitely happen if the battery is out. And I wonder if it might sneak in around the edges even when the battery is in. I wonder if...

Has anyone converted Espin Flow to a class 3?

Based on what you said here about your drag race, it sounds like "hamster wheeling" should not be a problem with Espin Sport, right? At least on flat surfaces? My biggest complaint about my current E-bike, which is a really old model class 2, is that I am essentially unable to go any faster than...

Has anyone converted Espin Flow to a class 3?

The Espin website (as I write this) says the Sport comes with Shimano shifters and Kenda tires. Is that not accurate? Isn't that a big deal? It makes me question whether the company has their act together, right?

Has anyone converted Espin Flow to a class 3?

I've read that Espin Flow can be "unlocked" so as to remove the 20 mph speed limit and turn it into a class 3, but I've never seen any instructions. Has anybody here done this? How did you figure out what to do? How complicated is it? want to go 28 mph, but I also prefer a step through. Thanks.

Is Espin Sport's unsealed cadence sensor a problem?

I'm thinking about getting an Espin Sport. The latest EBR review notes that the cadence sensor is unsealed and that you could lose a magnet if you hit a big bump. Has anyone experienced this? Is it something to be concerned about? What is the effect if that happens and is it feasible to fix? Thanks.

Can you bypass the throttle inhibiter on Aventon Level?

It is my understanding that the Level does not allow you to use the throttle from a stopped position. Does anyone know if there is a (relatively simple) way to bypass that feature? Thanks.

Help me choose a commuter bike in Iowa

Hello, I would appreciate advice on choosing a commuter E-bike. I am leaning toward the Aventon Level right now, which I can get for $1600 at my local bike shop. But I would appreciate other suggestions. Here are my specs: 1. 35 years old, in good shape, six feet tall. I have two years of...
