How much of a draw on your battery is having your display left on but not riding?

Thanks folks. It definitely lost a little juice but I wanted to see what people thought about this in general so I could quantify and get an idea of how much of a drain it was. Obviously not ideal to leave the key turned on and the display on. I had just literally mowed about 3/4 mile of...

How much of a draw on your battery is having your display left on but not riding?

I have been riding my bike on a trail I cleared in the woods in an obscure park behind my neighborhood. It's beautiful back there but I noticed today I left the key in it and the display was still on!?!? That was from Saturday night and I noticed today at around noon. I've done this twice and...

Ended up with generic 5000W Stealth Bomber

Hello all, I have been using this site to educate myself and "select" a brand to use as entry level to ebikes. I was leaning towards Ride1Up and still really like their value and offerings but I saw this kid in South Carolina built a stealth bomber bike and thought that would be a nice...

Will Ride1Up create a fat tire model?

I am at Dewey Beach Delaware. I am seeing a lot of fat tire bikes and Sondors in particular. I am wondering if the Limited would handle a fat tire or is maybe an equivalent.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

I was simultaneously looking on BikesDirect.com and trying to buy a used rental bike now that the beach season is winding down. No dice. I was educating myself too looking at the bikesdirect site and reading online. I think the bike I get from them will be a 29 inch hardtail mountain or...

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

I do like the wider tires on the LMT'D and think they would be much better on unpaved surfaces. Thanks for the input.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

Looking for final arguments here from folks. 500 or LMT'D. I'm going to ride on gravel and grass and with small roots and rocks 15% of time. This is last appeal before purchase.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

I just read you want your seat height to be 109% of your inseam. For 36 inches that makes it around 39 inches which means it's still lowish for a guy with long legs.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

The seat heights are measured from the bottom of the pedal stroke to the seat. I did not realize that. I still prefer being able to make my seat pretty high as my legs are disproportionately long but that makes 37.5 seem much more reasonable. Thanks for the input. What's your inseam and...

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

I am also looking to buy a cheap motobecane hardtail 29er from Bikes Direct for "human powered" riding. So many choices. There is a full suspension 29er that looks intriguing too. I would probably get a single drive train for that one. So many choices.

How tall is your son? What's his inseam? What type of riding does he do? Thx.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

I'm not that interested in the 700s and was interested in the 500 for the value but I think 37.5 is way too low a seat height for me. I was watching a review of the SONDORS MXS where the guy said he's 6'4" and could not quite get full pedal extension on that bike and that one is 41" seat...

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

Silly me. I looked at the dimensions and realize that for my size the Limited is the way to go if I go with Ride 1 Up. The Sondors Rockstar and the limited are similar in max seat height with the Rockstar being 1.4 inches taller. Limited 40 Rockstar 41.4 500 37.5 These things matter when you...

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

I'm still tempted to get the 500 just to "get in" and take advantage of the tremendous value. The fatter tires, more powerful motor, and torque sensor on the Limited are very appealing though. This will be used on gravel and packed dirt trails mostly. Not a lot of rock jumping. Just...

    Review: New LMT'D - new owner's perspective

The Sondors mid drive mountain bike is 65 lbs I believe. It is intriguing. I've gone from wanting to get in cheap with the 500 to "Oh, a new affordable mid-drive...". I think I just need to make more money, lol.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

Can anyone speak to the lack of hydraulic brakes on the 500 and the difference between the cadence sensor on that bike vs the torque sensor on the Limited? I think I have that right if not please let me know.

Trying to decide between 500 and Limited

Yeah. Another wrinkle. Now I'm thinking just get in cheap with the 500 and wait for mid-drive motor model prices to come down for the next ebike. Get the 500, ride the wheels off of it/get my money's worth.

What I mean is you can't make an underpowered motor more powerful. Better to have more power than you need and not use it than not have enough power.
