It's about a half-turn on my Level, hasn't been an issue so far. I actually like that I can't accidentally hit the throttle when I'm walking it.

I was in the exact same position between the two. I walked into a bike store here last week and they had just gotten the Aventon in and it was available, so I didn't have to wait for the R1U and I bought it. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either, but I've put 100 mi on the Aventon in 5 days...

I bought it at a local shop, I got lucky- they just got 5 in the door and I was able to pick it up right away.

Just bought a level and tried it out today- it's amazing, especially for the money. Tons of power, great torque, a solid and comfortable ride. You can't go wrong.

I just bought the Avento Level, picking it up today...every bike shop owner I spoke with raved about it, I'll report back. It was $1,600USD.

Update, I can get a used Rad Rover 5 today with the cargo rack, that needs brake pads, for $1,100 - otherwise it's in great shape. Thoughts?

OK...factoring in my budget and not wanting to wait until the fall for a bike, I'm narrowing it down to either the Moscow Plus or the Level. They're fairly comparable, both have good reviews here, just wondering if there's any real-world experience out there or anything I should be aware of on...

Add the NCM Moscow to that list as well...so many choices!

I just tried out a Scott Strike in Park City, it was awesome. I loved the style, the speed, the heft, the range, the one-finger hydraulic brakes. It was fast and felt like it could conquer any terrain. However, the $4,000+ price point is a bit out of my range, I'm more around the $1,500 mark...
