What assist levels do you usually use on e-road bikes?

Always Eco unless I go too far or it’s windy, or Im particularly thrashed that day and don’t really want to ride, but I go for a ride anyways.

    Specialized Creo 2 owners

Teddys By The Sea in Carp is a great spot to stop for lunch. You can park your bike right next to your table if it’s not too busy on the patio.

My Wife Just Bought A XS Creo 2

I just looked on the Specialized website under Technical Specifications and it says “w/Handlebar remote.” Is that what we’re talking about?

My Wife Just Bought A XS Creo 2

Thank you Stefan. I think I mentioned it a while ago, if you ever get to California, look us up. Not to get political but I like what Poland is doing with their border. Maybe, finally, we have figured it out.

My Wife Just Bought A XS Creo 2

Hi Stefan, yes hers is the E5 Comp. My main worry was that she will “spin out” pedaling hard on the flats or slight downhills, but like I said, we are both cautious riders and won’t be bombing down any hills. We will be using the Creos for only road riding, we have Levos for any Mtb or dirt...

My Wife Just Bought A XS Creo 2

My Wife Just Bought A XS Creo 2

It’s not the comp carbon one, that was $2000 more and no one has a XS size. Mine is a Creo 1, comp carbon but a L size and the only thing I see that’s different besides the weight, is hers doesn’t have the power changing buttons under the handlebar wrap. I’m planning on putting that on for...

My Wife Just Bought A XS Creo 2

There was one in our LBS that we just went into after breakfast to ”look around but not buy anything”. Yea, so much for that lol. It’s the “Birch“ color. She’s been wanting a roadie style bike so she can ride with me on my Creo 1. We are both experienced riders, but 62 years old so we...

    Hello from Santa Barbara California

Theres a Specialized dealer here in Santa Clarita if you don’t have one close to you. They must have 100 bikes on display, for sale and they allow test rides. Just leave your drivers license with them and you can put a couple miles on the bike.

    Hello from Santa Barbara California

Exactly what Jeremy said above. Vado! My wife and I each have one and love them. We’ve put pannier bags on them and done several overnight trips. They’ve got 1500 miles on them and only lubed the chains. We also did the Solvang Metric Century, 72 miler on them but we did have to do most of...

    carrying extra battery(s)

I just looked on Amazon. Look up “Velcro elastic strap”. Use a couple for them to strap the spare battery to your rack. The Velcro makes it easy on/off and the elastic will keep it tight to the rack.

Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

Late March or early April will be good there. Take lights with you if you have them, the nightlife in Palm Springs is great too. It would be fun to tour around some of the main streets at night and see everything all lit up.

Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

Palm Springs is awesome. Not sure about biking around there, but I’m sure it will be fine. There isn’t much traffic and lots of desert roads to explore. Tons of great restaurants and bars and the Aeronautical Museum is spectacular.

Trying to select my new e-bike

Another vote for your local bike shop and take several on test rides. The test rides are free so you can’t go wrong. Some bike shops will rent you an e-bike for the day for about $100 and will take that off the sales price if you buy a bike from them. Like previously mentioned, buy a...

    New to e-bikes first post.

My wife and I each have got 1500 miles on our Specialized Vado’s and haven't done a thing to them except lube the chains. You can’t go wrong with anything Specialized. You mentioned the wilderness. The Vado and Tero are a good road/dirt fire road choice with the right tires. Also, another...

    intense 951 mountain bike

Without looking too closely at it, it has SRAM components and a CF frame so that’s a good start. Costco has a great return policy so that helps too. My concern is who will work on it when it needs repairs? A LBS probably won’t. I think you are better off with a used name brand bike like...
